It continues to amaze me that we have become a society that automatically looks to the fed gov for all answers. Something like this happens and it is the responsibility of the fed gov to have had tens of millions of face-masks and coronaviris test kits stored in a bunker somewhere. No one saw this coming and Trump is doing a good job of handling it IMO...if this happened under Obama and he handled it the same way, the media would be praising him but since it's Trump, he can do nothing right.

The Democrats haven’t been concerned about public interest in a long time. Most recently, they would have allowed traffic from China to the US to remain business as usual just to try and make Trump look bad. Good thing Trump went ahead and did what was good for public interest and safety. Power always trumps public interest and safety with the Democrats. Sad, but true.

I'm not disagreeing that this is a bad deal, but I also am not going to believe everything I hear just because they supposedly have "top" credentials. The WHO and the clown running it have a lot of responsibility in not slowing this down by running cover for their buddies in China at the very outset. They are also the same group that proclaimed France and Italy were #1 and #2 for the best healthcare systems a few years back. Just because some are skeptical of some sources in this doesn't mean they think it's nothing...that's certainly not my opinion. I will add that I think the media has caused much hysteria that we see, but that's just business as usual.

Good post...like everything, scientific "facts" are only as good as the "scientist" that is interpreting them.

The John Hopkins website is an excellent source for information...great format.

We are OK with government assistance as long as it benefits those that actually need it and it isn't multi-generational support.

I got your point, but at this time you have no way of predicting the ratio of severity to frequency. Do you really think the numbers won't go up tremendously when more testing takes place over the next weeks and months? That's my point. Your point seems to want to drive the hysteria that we are seeing.

The same folks that say many are walking around with no symptoms or symptoms that are similar to a cold.

There are way more than 4500 cases in the country and you know it...we haven't even begun to verify the real number.

Wouldn't you say our national security should override price?
