5 billion does not make this a centerpiece by a long shot, it’s a drop in the bucket and if a Democrat President was in office the Democrat controlled House would be all over it, their previous statements prove this, as well as it proves their hypocrisy. They are the ones playing games here and the shutdown is 100% on them. As far as evidence of our porous southern border, there is plenty of evidence out there and the last caravan will only embolden more of the same and most likely on a larger scale. Community organizing gets more efficient with time. Build the wall...they work, we all know the opposition has nothing to do with money, it’s because of silly political games from Dems and their hatred for Trump.

Don’t you think it would make sense to downsize the fed gov so shutdowns wouldn’t even be a option for the politicians? It would also save lots of money for the hard working taxpayers.

[Hidden Content] I posted this earlier thinking we are officially in a place where the Dems don’t even want to deal with facts to make policy. Hard to compromise with that level of ignorance or denial...have to try to simply defeat them. Problem is, there are lots of ignorant deniers voting for these folks.

I don’t consider education wasteful spending, but the fed gov manages to do it in the Dept. of Education. The fed gov is too large to effectively manage most programs, especially when it’s full of corrupt folks running them.

Nothing like that...simply the fed gov creating a dept to staff for more control, nothing else. Folks gotta stop making excuses for our bloated wasteful fed gov.

He’s an engineer and there are departments on the state levels that do the same thing he does. So many of the federal departments should be abolished because it is already being handled at the state level. The fed gov is ridiculously bloated and should be cut back to only the responsibilities laid out in the Constitution. Won’t ever happen, but it should.

His job should be done at the state level. No need for the fed gov to have that much control and power. And have no doubt, it is all about control and power, and so many buy into the nonsense that the fed gov is the answer to all our problems.
