  1. This will drive almost 100% of Washington politicians crazy, we need to beak the cycle of expecting elected officials to go to Washington to bring home fluff for their specific districts / states. This will, no doubt, be the most unpopular department in Washington.
  2. I am, as long as they went by rules set forth by their government. Just because it’s a Trump makes no difference. You could have paid your loan back that you voluntarily agreed to, businesses that were shut down had no choice, so I have no problem with government taking care of a problem it created. You chose to default on a loan the you asked for, there is no comparison between the two.
  3. He signed it, no doubt, you are correct. I think this is the first time, am I correct? Just kidding, lol
  4. It's very simple, don't voluntarily borrow money you aren't going to pay back.
  5. Don't know their particular circumstances but when the government unnecessarily forces a business to shut down and stay shut down then yeah, I would expect them to fix the problem they actually created. Are you ok with it being forgiven? There’s no comparison between PPP and student loans.
  6. You would think so, looks like the intent was to help out folks that got a crap degree they couldn't use. But hey, at east they're educated.
  7. Also, the cost of the TEPSLF was $700 million dollars, which ain't chump change but it's well south of a trillion plus that biden put out. Looks like Trump compromised / caved on this one. I definitely don't agree with anyone having debt relieved when they're very capable of paying it off, like yourself.
  8. For a little more accurate description. [Hidden Content] From the article: After the disastrous results of 2017, both Congress and the Dept. of Ed. moved to streamline the process and provide options for some rejected borrowers. Some of the most common rejections were due to non-qualifying employment—addressed in 2012 by adding the ECF—and by being on a non-qualifying payment plan. To amend the latter problem, the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2018 temporarily expanded PSLF (TEPSLF), which allowed borrowers who met all other qualifications for the program except for their payment plans to be considered for forgiveness. The Act, however, only allows a certain total amount to be forgiven and once that figure is met—on a first-come, first-served basis—the program will end.
  9. Didn't see it, can you post again?
  10. And yet the left does it all the time, the democrats, the media, the DOJ (under a democrat administration), the IRS (also under a democrat administration) . Trump, Kavanaugh, Flynn, and on and on. It's become standard operating procedure for democrats, we can't win in the arena of ideas (2024 election) so we have to make up lies to trash our political opponents.
  11. Why don't you post an article backing that up. And if you think I agree with everything Trump does, your mistaken, he, as well as any other President, has done things I disagree with. Bottom line, Trump compared to the bumbling idiot the democrats put out is a no-brainer. Now post the article about him expanding student loan forgiveness, I'd be interested in reading about it.
  12. Well #1 Trump isn’t President yet and #2 I don’t think anyone takes your dumb posts serious.
  13. Do you have bad information? [Hidden Content] From the article: Higher education faces massive changes in President Donald Trump’s spending plan. The proposal unveiled Monday would sharply curtail income-based loan repayment plans, scratch the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program, embolden the government to go after students who don’t pay their loans and cut funding for federal work study in half.
  14. Thankfully, the democrats have proven to be incapable of introspection. They’ll convince themselves that their policies are spot on, but the unwashed masses are too dim to realize it, which, hopefully, will lead to more lost elections. The uneducated deplorable garbage now has the big stick.
  15. It’s funny that they threaten to leave the country like anyone would actually care if they did.
  16. What a miserable life she must have to carry that much hate around.
  17. What’s sad is that many folks didn’t vote because they saw no difference in Trump and Harris. The low information voter will be our downfall.
  18. How many times did he guarantee we picked the ONLY guy that couldn’t win? lol lol lol lol
  19. Reminded me of Bush's deck of cards, terrorists respect strength as much as anyone else.
  20. I'm sure the line for the next leader of Hamas is very short right now.
  21. Not too sure Israel will agree.
  22. Some folks actually paid theirs off, imagine that.
