  1. Gotcha Wouldn't you say that only Christians are those that are subject to God's commandments and to be a Christian you would already believe. The Great Commandment was not given to non-believers, right?
  2. Wonder why he says whoever does not believe and get baptized will be condemned. You guys are getting Commandments for how we should handle ourselves AFTER salvation with requirements for Salvation. Anyway, I am at peace and know where I am headed.
  3. I know, I got my answer. Sure would be a shame to have a heart attack after accepting Christ on the way to the Church to get baptized...or not have gotten a chance to spread the gospel.
  4. If you have paid attention on here at all, you would have seen that I have been critical of Republicans as well...no a fan of any of them right now. The fix to obamacare is for the gov to get out of the health care business and let all 50 states compete for our business in the private sector. It's the best health care system in the world, is it perfect...no. But all the fed gov will do is destroy it. Just because we have lost the elections doesn't mean we have the wrong message, it's just not the message not many voters want to here. Don't forget these voters we are supposed to try and appeal to voted Obama in twice and many are now slobbering over Trump.
  5. That's what they tell us. I bet those 27,596 killed and 26,145 injured and their families wish they could have.
  6. [Hidden Content] From the article: 2015 During this time period, there were 2860 Islamic attacks in 53 countries, in which 27596 people were killed and 26145 injured.
  7. So we are COMMANDED to believe? What happened to free will? No contradiction on my part. Have a good day, C1.
  8. lol...I never saw you worried about the people's wishes when obamacare was rammed through. I realize you are a troll, but I can't help myself sometimes.
  9. No contradiction at all...when you are saved you follow commandments...you don't follow commandments in order to BE saved. Curious...can you answer the question about dying before you are baptized...are you going to Heaven?
  10. If someone does not do the things that God commands them to do, they weren't saved to begin with. If doesn't mean you have to do them in order to be saved. Are you saying if you accept Jesus into your heart but die on the way to the Church of Christ to be Baptized, or you never got the chance to evangelize you aren't going to make it to Heaven? Is that what you are saying? As I have already said, Salvation is a gift...you cannot do anything to earn it.
  11. I think that is what I said. "If you confess and believe, I mean really believe (not just saying you do) the repentance has already taken place through the Holy Spirit." If you truly believe, you have been compelled by the Holy Spirit to repent. I'll be fine C1...worry about someone else that doesn't know Scripture.
  12. That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. If you confess and believe, I mean really believe (not just saying you do) the repentance has already taken place through the Holy Spirit. It ends with thou shalt be saved after you confess and believe...very simple. God didn't make a mistake and leave anything out.
  13. So what Commandments are required for me to follow to earn my way into Heaven...I would like a complete list. Do not leave any out or you may miss out. There is the Great Commandment...so is there a quota I must fill or just one every now and then to earn my Salvation...your way is so confusing. By the way, that Scripture is taken out of context more than any other (mainly by the works oriented denominations), it is simply saying IF you are saved, your works will reflect it. We will just have to agree to disagee on this one.
  14. As does Romans 10:9. That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. It doesn't tack on anything else...if there were something else to DO, it would not be a gift, you would have earned it. The works follow Salvation, but are not a requirement of it. I'm good with that...if you aren't, OK. And yes, the Church of Christ is a denomination.
  15. He was a turnaround specialist for failing companies...sometimes job losses are necessary because of poor prior management. You are reading too much Paul Krugman.
  16. You guys should focus more on saving those who are lost rather than nitpicking with those that are saved. One denomination does not have the only congregation of saved folks...thank God. There are way way more Theologians that agree that Baptism should follow Salvation, but is not a requirement for it. I have no problem with anyone believing that (won't keep you out of Heaven) but my beliefs won't keep me out of heaven either. Salvation is a gift, nothing you can do can earn it...are there Commandments you SHOULD follow afterward...absolutely. I think the Scripture Mat posted needs to be reread by some.
  17. Just pick one that's convenient.
  18. Happy Easter
  19. LOL...I voted for Romneycare. As a Republican, I knew he wouldn't make a run at national health care.
  20. Come one WE1, you know he knew this was a lie when he said it...but he also knew it would get votes. As far as Romney goes, no doubt he is a good businessman, but he is also a big gov Republican that feels like gov is the answer to all problems.
  21. I'll go ahead and answer for everyone...he knew this was a lie when he said it.
  22. So welfare, obamacare, medicare and social security is left to the states? No. The fed gov has no constitutional business in any of this...I know, I know, it's the way it is, but they really don't. I would rather take care of my own financial future, but the fed gov says no, and confiscates funds from me for my "social security" and medical insurance as well as inflated taxes to pay for all the other social programs (aka welfare) that I have to fund. The fed gov is neck deep in social programs.
  23. Yep...all that should be decided by the states. If someone doesn't like the laws a state is putting in place, there are 49 others to choose from. I am a social conservative but I don't want gov forcing my views on anyone, but I also don't want liberal views forced on me.
  24. Nah, we need to move right fiscally and leave the social part to the states. Left socially on the federal level always costs lots of taxpayer money.
