  1.   Correct...many seem to think he is just hanging around in the White House, golf course etc. letting events happen on their own while he gets updated by reading about it in the newspapers.   His supporters can somehow distance him from every bad result while blaming Bush for not personally going to Iraq looking in storage sheds for the WMD.
  2.   Absolutely right!
  3. Sorry...not buying it...and I wouldn't call it a conspiracy, I would call it corruption. However, if simple incompetence is an out, this administration has got it made.
  4. Why the lie about lost emails when we all know it is a lie. They obviously are covering something up...and I don't think they are covering up the fact that they targeted left and right groups equally.
  5. I am against the fed gov spending on the entitlements...let that fall back to the states .   The fed gov is too large to efficiently manage these programs.   The smaller the entity, the more effectively they can take care of the problem with actual hands-on solutions.   Throwing money at it has shown to be a failure.   With that said...will this ever happen...doubtful.
  6. From the article:   "I was trying to make sense of it," Clinton said, suggesting the intelligence community was responsible for making that connection.   Despite her own apparent deliberations, the State Department put out a statement the night of Sept. 11 that cited "inflammatory material posted on the Internet."    [Hidden Content]
  7. :)
  8.   It is a shame...this was actually started by the vision of one young youth minister that put feet behind his prayers.
  9. Tough situation, no doubt. One church I used to attend would pick up kids that were in bad situations and bring them to Sunday School, choir and Wednesday night service. Some of the kid's dedicated their lives to Christ and some parents even began to attend...it was an awesome ministry that actually changed lives. It's a shame the hand that some kids are dealt but I believe the best way to help is through churches or any group that actually takes a personal interest. Money alone just won't do it.
  10. I'm not talking about you personally now, folks that are in dire straits like you are describing need to know help is available... Food pantries come to mind. Lots of churches sponsor them.
  11. Are these folks aware that there is help available? Don't know what DM is.
  12. Go ahead...fill in the blank...don't be shy. This country takes better care of it's poor than anywhere else...we don't knowingly let folks starve. Charities, churches, food pantries and gov...lots of resources. I have been on mission trips to places like Brazil and that is true poverty.
  13. Who is starving...please post a link. I may want to send a donation, above and beyond my taxes that is...and you definitely should.
  14.   He usually didn't give you very long to remember the names before being banned.   :D
  15. So the debate is over...you have drawn a conclusion. You have spent enough time with us common folk...better get back to that lucrative job. And be sure to ask if they want fries!
  16. I believe this is Professor Enlightenment and a couple of other names that I can't recall.
  17.   Not what I'm saying at all...there is no particular way anyone HAS to feel about issues, but at least research and form an opinion about them.   Moderates seem to have no strong opinion about many issues (or don't care) and can be easily swayed.   If someone goes into the debates and has no clue as to what a candidate is all about and will be persuaded by a talking point or two, I call that a low information voter.   Many call that an enlightened moderate.
  18. He probably considers Cliven Bundy more of a threat than Al Qaeda.
  19. Not evading the question...just can't think of anything we have said that would make someone think we hate this country. You want to join in then make yourself useful and provide examples.
  20. Obama has said he wants to fundamentally transform this great nation...I think you should probably be asking the question of him rather than me, nash and smitty.
  21.   No, it's really not a serious question.     I'll bite though...what is is that we have said that makes you think we hate our country?
  22.   I agree with that and could say the same thing...I consider myself a conservative rather than simply a Republican.   The Republicans do a lot of things I disagree with but they are still the best option for me come voting time.   I would think a liberal with strong beliefs like yourself would be as frustrated with moderates that are swayed by the latest sound bite as any conservative with strong beliefs...after all, these "moderates" are the game changers.
  23.   The Republicans have been beaten the last two elections by a very unqualified candidate by choosing two moderates and you are suggesting we continue down that road?   Do you read what you type?
