You paid $2000 by your own admission, you forced others to cover the remaining $25,000. These predatory lenders would cease to exist if there were no borrowers like yourself that don’t even read a contract.

Well, this didn't age well, lol. I am simply in disagreement with the policy to actually reward folks that take out a loan with the promise to pay back and then get that loan paid off by taxpayers, it's simply wrong. Contrast that with our men and women that serve and use that service to our country to pay for their college. I get it, it's simply to buy votes, it always is, but it's still wrong.

20 years of payments and only knocked off $2000 while making six figures, lol. Oh well, it all worked out, we (taxpayers) gotcha covered.

This is true, but you would think they would use that extra money to pay off THEIR debts rather than mooch off the taxpayers. How do you feel about PPP loans not being paid back? Do you think it's wrong to borrow money with the promise of paying it back and then gloating when someone else has to pay off YOUR debt? Because that is EXACTLY what you just did.

They are necessary, no one is saying otherwise. What is being said is that if you choose to get one, you should be responsible for paying for it and that burden shouldn’t be passed onto those that received no benefit from the degree.

Don’t change the subject, you took out a loan and defaulted on it, then had the audacity to get on here to boast about someone else paying it off for you.

If you made all that money why didn't you pay your debt off rather than dragging it out and making hard working taxpayers that didn't blow money on a degree they couldn't afford pay it off for you.
