Word is Lubbock Cooper is the real deal as well. Hopefully they throw the stud first game. I like Silsbee's chances in Austin though, with Powell on the mound they can hang with anyone

[/quote] Silsbee beat Livingston, Lumberton, Ozen, and Dayton earlier this year...yea, pretty sure they can beat 4a teams. I'm not saying they're gonna beat teams like PNG and Ned but they could definitely compete for a playoff spot in some 4a districts IMO.

I'm gonna go with Buna, good program in 2-a and I feel like they are gonna hold their own in 21-3a and get a few wins. Hopefully it's a good tight game.

Duplant is definitely good enough to make an impact, not sure what you're talking about. And while I agree Silsbee has a great team, I don't think anyone has it in the bag.

I believe the final was 3-2 Silsbee but not sure how the teams looked. I did hear that lcm's 1 and 2 pithers threw well though

You  don't have to have a gun to tell about how hard someone is throwing. Not if you've been around the game a while at least. That being said I wasn't there so I have no idea how hard anyone was throwing

Actually there were punches thrown on two different plays during the game, that i saw. There were likely many more dirty plays that I didn't see.

They might be, but they haven't been playing all that well lately, just like jasper. It's a toss up but I'm still gonna lean towards Jasper by a slim margin. 6 or less.

And that will change why? You said yourself that everybody is coming back, so unless they pull a abit out of a hat I for see another leaderless season. But who knows, I hope they do good, just have a hard time predicting them as the favorite when they've proved nothing so far.

I'm goint to say Jasper gets the upset in this one. Silsbee has some players banged up, not sure how they're going to perform.

And this is the team that actually got worse from 08 to 09 when they returned everybody but the senior shortstop? we'll see, I really hope they do though
