Bobcat101 replied to Coach Myers's topic in Select Baseball
Coach Myers. Juan Gonzales said that he won't tweet you, Facebook you, email you or call you. He's waiting to see you in person. Passing on annomous information. Bobcat101. -

If your kid is going to the next level as in Div I / Pro baseball then winning at 17 isn't really that important.
Wow!
Two of the most ridiculous statements,I've ever read on this site!
Which is more ridiculous. The fact that I typed that as a joke or the fact that it may be true that kids as young at 10/11/12 yr olds throw 20-30 "curve" balls each outing. I've never seen an under 16 yr old kid do anything "with proper" technique with consistence. Even the pro player tell me that they have to focus on each and evey type of breaking pitch they throw. You'll never find anyone more anti breaking ball than me. We've talked about this typical a million time and a million dad always say " my 3 year has been taught to throw curves with the proper technique. Ha Ha Ha. JBW that is the most ridiculous statement I've heard.

10 if you want your kid to shine. 17 if your kid is a great pitcher that can hit his spots. Reference:??? None.

As a side note..... And to clarify what I'm talking about. My son wants to be a brain surgeon, eventually I can't help him to reach that goal unless I sent him to a professor at Rice University. Same applies to ____________. "Fill in the blank."

Taking nothing way from the kids on this team, this team is a bunch of "Blue Collar" boys with no one "superstar" kid or kids on the team. The kids "work for and earn" every run that's crosses that home plate. To me, personally, what gives this team their edge is the coaching staff. The difference between Daddy coaching a team and a Coach with no ties to the team coaching do what's best for the team to win. Just My opinion based on experience..... I don't have hard facts to back it up.

Probably at the same place you found that umpire and that scrimmage you where looking for last year, Mr Mike.
I absolutely understand and appreciate all the work that goes in to setting up a weekend like this. I know it is a scheduling nightmare so thanks for all your hard work. Bleachers are bleachers and the better teams will win no matter where they are asked to sit, I think my issue was more about the attitude of Lumberton fans and then bragging about having "home field refs". Do we really have refs from a certain town allowed to work that teams games?
I can promise that the Ref's are scheduled by a representive of the local Referee chapter and he schedule to the best of his abilities that no "hometown" ref are used for any games. But these Ref call a straight game as possible no matter where they are from. I think most people like to talk "bull" just to get under your skin. As long as I'm involved with STJFL I'll do my best to make sure everything is a fair as possible and I know from the President to the other 8 other board member, we try to be a fair as possible knowing it may never be perceived that way. Thanks. -

They were lucky that Bmt wanted to play and not win on a forfeit because someone forgot their team's player cards. Got the whole story if anyone wants to know...
Was Bmt given that option or did someone make them play and told them the MPR will be there at halftime? I think the only punishment this yr was given to Bmt B because they scored 75 points. And there is No rule that say you can't score 75 points. The game should have been played but Bmt should have advanced
Once again Gucci, your showing you ignorance.... How many times do we have to tell you. BMT was not punished for scoring 75. BMT PW broke a rule by putting in a starter after they where up by more than 28. I'm going to copy and paste this so I won't have to retype it when you bring it up when you 8 yr old turns 30.
So did Ned B. But that thread got deleted. Lum Srs should not be advancing. But i blame Bmt for not standing up for their teams. Bmt is Stjfl you know what
Give your association STJFL council member your proof about another team not pulling their starter after 28 points and lets see if STJFL treats everyone the same. That would be my suggestion.
Sounds identical to Bmt B peewee situation a few weeks ago and their head coaches got suspended for 2 weeks. Hope stjfl steps in on this one too. It would be bad press for them to punish one team while letting another slide.
Fact......... BMT's PW situation involved having a starter handle the ball after reaching a point spread of 28. A rules violation cause the punishment. If you reply to this then you are proving how much you really know.
