  1. Nevermind. Found it after a short google search. Solis to Wharton and Key from G.Ball HS takes over at Galveston.
  2. When did this happen? I haven't heard anything about that. Both schools websites show to have the same coaches they have had for a while. Solis at Galveston and Nottebart at Wharton. Where is this information you have coming from? ??? ??? ???
  3. Please tell me that was a joke...Are you kidding ??? ??? 1st round pick in the MLB Draft and you're ragging on this kid ? Slade don't even know you and I exist.....and I have no dog in this fight. First round, MLB...come on. BTW, he had a 3-run triple in the 2nd to break the game open. I know I'm new around here so I'll try not and step on any toes. How is stating what happened in a game "ragging" on a kid? I was listening to the game and I was thinking the same thing. He dropped a routine fly ball. Just as stated. Not ragging. Just stated. :
  4. I read that this morning. Great story and the kid is without a doubt an unblievable ballplayer at age 16. The fact that they associate the kid with Cooperstown though is a little rediculous if you ask me. More media hype as usual.
  5. If my son didn't have a tournament in Lufkin this weekend, I wouldn't miss a single game of this one. Then again, if my son had hit better,(along with his team) ;D he would have missed this tournament this weekend to play in those games. OH well. :'( Good luck to both teams. I don't know much about Nederland, but I can tell you that Brenham is deeper in pitching that most "experts" thought. They just never needed to use the third one much all year.
  6. Do rankings really mean anything this time of year anyway? Heck, pre season rankings barely hold water most of the time, much less this time of year. Win what you're supposed to and the rankings will be what they are supposed to be in the end.
  7. How bout' not putting the cart before the horse. If I remember correctly Lamar Consolidated was a shoe in for the state tournament.
  8. I found ya' cubfan12. ;D Waltrip-0-0-0-0-1-0-0-1----2-5-0 Brenham-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-----0-7-0 WP Zecharia Lemond CG-7K-2BB-7H-0R (third straight elimination game win) LP Ty Schlottman CG-7K-0BB-5H-2R HR-WHS Dylan Welch Series tied at 1-1 Game 3 Saturday, noon @ Langham Creek. And yes. Waltrip only starts two seniors (1B and CF) and two juniors (LF and C) on a regular basis. #1 and #2 pitcher are both sophomores.
