I know for a fact Central can beat Nederland. Seem them play quite a few times. Will be a good game. Just dont want people to put all the praise on Coach English, when the players deserve a little love too ;)

Just my thought, but I think the team undefeated in district has the most talent. I respect Coach English and know he does a fantastic job, but sometimes the players dont get as much credit as they deserve. Great Job Dogs and hope yall continue to perform well!

Talent has to do with skill on the court.. Basketball players are a combination of both, Skill and athleticism,  and the best ones know that.. What type of players play at the next level and beyond? Not just guys who can shoot, or not just guys who can jump the highest or run fastest.. But the ones who understand their level of play and where they fit into the game.

Championships are nice and help coaches get noticed very quickly, but they arent the biggest factor. Having talent makes everything easy. Bad Coaches can look great from better players, and Good Coaches can even look bad from not good players. Success for coaching basketball, IMO, comes from being at the right place at the right time. English is in a great spot right now. Talent in Nederland keeps growing, which is making his job alot easier.. Boute was in a great spot too, and knew it was time to move on after the talent pool got smaller in Beaumont.. Boute was a good coach who took advantage of the right situation to win..
