Some big free-throws and defensive hands late by Nederland to get the win! Great job on House for Hightower by what it sounded it like! Good call to go box-and-1 to get him out of rhythm early! Great job dogs and get ready for tomorrow! Also great broadcast Mike! Im glad I got to listen to a Nederland game finally ;D
How you doing over in Florida 1218? Ready for the semester to be over?
Ready to come home man and relax! Going to be going to lots of Nederland games to make up for all the games i missed already
Missed a good football season, but a likewise basketball season should be in store!  ;D
Oh I know.. I really wanted to be at those games too, especially those playoff games, but I have a preference to Nederland basketball ;) No offense to the Football program

 8. Sounds like we need to make some shots.. and Limit them to 1 shot!! No offensive rebounds!
 9.
Yates is overrated
::) They are playing top teams to get ready for district and making a run in playoffs.. The win isnt as important as the preparation and reps And CATMAN is right.. They probably wont lose a game
 10. Good Match-up. The play of K.Smith controls outcome for Central
Geeeeeeeeeeeeeeez Nash.....let's not beat a dead horse. How bout agreeing to disagree on "certain" issues........and agreeing that we both love basketball. My previous post was meant as nothing but a huge compliment to HJ....Take it as such and move on.
He prides himself in talking so much on this forum so can appear to be much more intelligent about sports than anyone else ;)
My sporting knowledge is not much superior or inferior to anyone else on this board.  The difference between you and me is that I am aware of that fact.  As for how much I talk on this forum, you might wish to notice that the Dove posts twice for every time I post.  Does that mean he is trying to appear twice as intelligent as me or five times as intelligent as you?
Looks like I pushed Nashy's buttons :D

 14.
Does Ned. have any good players still in football (those that should contribute good min.)?
Two rebounders, but not normal scorers.. Very surprised by this score, but not worried ;) This team will be fine but needs to realize that showing up to the gym doesn't mean you are going to win
 15. No doubt HJ is good, but didnt see this coming.. Guess the lack of experience on the road at a hostile environment was a killer
 16. Then today he goes and gets a tech after after a personal, fouls out with his team up by 7 with 8 minutes left in the game against NCST.. Texas ends up falling apart and losing once JB is gone.. He needs to stay on the floor and keep his cool, way too valueable
 17.
Okay! Score? :D
Should have went to see the game live! Could have gave me some updates
 18.
The Dogs are not at full strength. Missing the depth will hurt in this game. Given HJ will have the home -  cookin the Hawks win by 15 +. Take it to the bank.
Who is missing besides Kimler and Couron?
 19.
It will be a good game. I would come but there is no neutral side for me tonite ;D
No love from da Dove? ;D
Nash-You and I know this will not be a 15-20 point victory for either team. Stop trying to get the HJ players fired up so much.  ;) BTW-The results of this poll show that people are split to the outcome of this game (as i predicted).  8)
THe "poll" sample is not large enough to be trusted.  Plus, one cannot assume that the participants are voting with their heads instead of their hearts.  If we take a "poll" on this board about who is going to be president, I doubt it will be accurately predictive.  I have to try and fire up the players because DA DOVE, in all of his splendor, has predicted a loss for them.
So because we vote Nederland, it means we are voting with our hearts, not heads? ::) In have seen this group play a ton of games together, and know they can compete with and beat alot of very good teams
Dogs- You could not be more INCORRECT- My point was that when you are trying to analyze statistics ( I do that for a living) you have to have a decent sized sample in order for it to have any credibility.  When I say voting with hearts and not heads, that is a reference to BOTH sides and therefore suggests that the data is not as analytical as it should be.  The fact that you have seen a group play a lot has ZERO bearing on the validity of the "poll".  For all we know, those votes could have been executed by junior high kids(once again from both schools) fooling around, etc. etc.  Nederland may beat HJ by 20 ( mop the floor style) or they might lose by 20.  I am suggesting that the "poll" gives no accurate insight into what is going to happen.  Therefore, dont make assumptions before making sure you completely understand the situation.
Sounds like somebody is cranky ??? Listen, I have very little insight on HJ. Seen them play once or twice this summer. Prudholme is a beast. The Bosha can shoot. Nederland has played AAU teams this summer that are as good or better than HJ and won. I feel confident with picking Nederland to win, but wouldnt be surprised if HJ wins at home.. Lots of guys getting varsity for the first time on the road at a very loud gym. Going to be a very good game
Its interesting that you say you know very little about HJ but know which AAU teams from the summer are better than they are.  Anyway, we will all have an answer in about 4 hours.  The freshman game is a toss up, the jv game Nederland wins by whatever amount they want to win and the varsity is too close to call.  And if my perception about the HJ varsity is correct, I believe they are better than you perceive them to be.
Never said HJ isnt good, just saying these teams from the summer are made of big 5A and 4A teams combined and we played very well

 22. They would undefeated too if the offense would have kept giving him the ball during the final 5 minutes against Oregon St.. Every play-by-play annoncer for ESPN says he is the most under-rated guard in the country and will be an All-American easy if this keeps up
