Nash-You and I know this will not be a 15-20 point victory for either team. Stop trying to get the HJ players fired up so much.  ;) BTW-The results of this poll show that people are split to the outcome of this game (as i predicted).  8)
THe "poll" sample is not large enough to be trusted.  Plus, one cannot assume that the participants are voting with their heads instead of their hearts.  If we take a "poll" on this board about who is going to be president, I doubt it will be accurately predictive.  I have to try and fire up the players because DA DOVE, in all of his splendor, has predicted a loss for them.
So because we vote Nederland, it means we are voting with our hearts, not heads? ::) In have seen this group play a ton of games together, and know they can compete with and beat alot of very good teams
 2. Hey now! Be easy on Nash! He is sensitive
 3.
Team that scores the most points will win!!! Expecting a really good crowd........home opener for HJ, and Nederland always travels well!!!
:D
 4. Made the same assumption I think a lot of people did around here.. Just because they lost all those seniors, doesnt mean you can just forget about Big Ned ;)
 5. I. Austin is a load.. 7 footer who controls paint effectively.. Two very good teams still
 6. Great win and god to see Nederland starting off strong! 8) Easy there #1 Manager, AAW is ignorant still :D
 7.
End of 3rd. Ned Starting to play St Pius 29 Nederland 45
More like it 8)
You do know AAW is just trying to push ur buttons, right ???
Not yet ;)
 11. Defense is looking good! Attacking the glass very well! But they cant trow the ball in the ocean right now, and they are doing too much standing around.. If they can shoot the ball better the second half they can make this a game! First 3 minutes are key ;)

Ball is in his hands for every crucial play
True.  Very true.  I'm anxious to see in what areas Smith have improved on.  We all know he can hit to 3 ball and he's a high flyer finishing above the rim.  I want to know about that midrange game and defense.
I have a question. If he's playing football, I wonder if he has had the time to really work on his game and improve?
Well, It's bee a few weeks since I've seen him.  I'm thinking he probably quit after he realized that we were not going to the playoffs vs. Vidor, which was 2 weeks ago.  If this is the case, he should have had ample time to practice and get ready for the season.
SoulJa,this kid is an outstanding player and I hope he's given up on football and concentrating on basketball. His chances of playing at the next level are with the round ball.
Talent is there, no doubt
 13. By the way Central play, they will go as far as K.Smith takes them.. Ball is in his hands for every crucial play
 14. Who made these rankings?? I agree to the teams they picked for playoffs, but here is how I see it from all the summer ball and last year.. PRE-Season: 1 - Central 2 - Nederland 3 - Ozen 4 - Livingston Fill in the rest..
 15. 52 consecutive shut-outs? Don't mean to bash that record, but what kind of teams where they playing?
 16. I might get to meet Da Dove at a Nederland game!?!  ;D

Really though, Central, Nederland, and Ozen are the best teams in the district. Cant argue any other way unless you dont know enough about them to properly judge. Central is the favorite because they have the best player. Nederland will surprise alot of people expecting a down year losing all those seniors, lots of talent there. Ozen has young players too, and will be even better if Green can become the player he was before the injury, that's a tough thing to come back from in basketball.. Very competitive district race this year

Both used to being the BMOC. I will say sounds like a good problem to have.
2004 Auburn Tigers: Ronnie Brown and Cadillac Williams situation? ;D Sounds pretty good to me!
 19.
RANGERS ALL THE WAY!!!....Cardinal fans better enjoy this one, because they wont see Pujols in a Card uniform next yr......He'll be in pinstripes, but not the ones your thinking of ;) ;)
Wont be leaving them if they win the WS, and probably wont leave anyways since the Cardinals are gonna pay whatever he asks pretty much.. He wont leave St. Louis
 20.
PNG posters see a poll with PNG in it., They vote automatically for themselves regardless of content.  Winning a poll is even a big victory for them.  Best uniforms  ---PNG Best rest rooms---PNG Wildest women----PNG They cant help it.
:D  ;D
 21. Pulling for my Cardinals!!! But im not gonna be mad if the Rangers win, gotta support my state too ;) Best World Series match-up for me
 22.
Heard Kingwood had a 6'6, 6'6, and a 6'8. Nederland was not intimidated. This varsity group, I think, was one of the first group of boys playing in Nederlands Little Dribblers program. They have played a lot of ball between little Dribblers, summer play (M.C. Flight), and school!!!
This is the first group coming from the Nederland Lil Dribblers program. They play really well together. Good Luck the rest of the games Dogs
 23. They are playing some big time talent out there! Games like these help you get better ;) Not saying Nederland is going to go win this tourney, but they will play well enough to compete
 24.
Hj schedule is just as weak as last year- no illusions about success on this end.  Probably go 15-17
:D Still upset about comments from last season I see.. Well no worries! Loss of Key players for Silsbee, combined with the fact HJ has one the best players in the area and returning a few more starters, makes for different outcomes ;)
