1. Just love stirring the pot  ;)
 2. The MIGHTY Vidor Pirates improve to 19-1 and look to continue their dominance of SETX!!  ;D :D
 3. Ned - Cunningham, Smith, Forney PNG - Doty LCM - Hunter G, T. Harley Ozen - Green Central - Kr. Smith Vidor - Williamson Dont know any standouts for Lumberton or Livingston, although I have heard rumors about some kid from Livingston #14.  ??? You can rank them however, and I may have missed some people, but those are the ones that always need to be game-plan for.
 4. Much better when Cunningham and Kelvin got in the game in the 2nd quarter. The 1-3-1 zone killed us early, but then we started putting the pressure on PNG and they didnt respond very well. Good win for Nederland. PNG never goes down easy and gave them a fight early. Ned now 2-0! Great job by the players and coaches!
 5. Those boys are proud to hold that ranking and find a way to keep winning. They have played alot of bad games though..
 6.
I don't know about the other two high schools, but the freshman at Ozen last year beat every team they played by close to 50 points.  Sounds like talent to me.  AND, if you had seen them play at middle school level, you would know there was talent.  So, what had happened to them since last year??  I watch two of them sit on the bench game after game, and do not play.  Put them back on JV, and let them get the experience. That is the only way they will learn.
Except the Nederland freshman from last year  ;) But Ozen does have good underlevel groups
 7. Dogs are going to win, but PNG always plays hard and wont be blown out

 9. the talent pool just isnt there anymore like it used to be.. Those schools used to have tons of basketball players to choose from
 10.
Keys for HJ to win vs Silsbee. 1) Pay off the refs before the tip 2) Keep Aggiearewe and myself out the gym 3)Switch Silsbee players into HJ uniforms 4) Lower the goals to 8 feet 5) Give DC Stallworth the wrong directions to the gym 6) Make Silsbee players make a 15 foot putt before entering the gym 7) Trick Silsbee into thinking the game was canceled to get a forfeit win 8) Ask Silsbee to only play JV players the entire game 9) Challange Coach T to a dance off and hope he forgets about the game 10) Cut the lights off everytime Silsbee has the ball.
;D ;D :D :D :D
 11.
I'm willing to bet all of you Hawks fans a beer that Silsbee sweeps HJ this year. Average margin of victory will be 11 points. Any takers? Also, if HJ beats Silsbee I will wear a HJ shirt and sit right in the middle of the Tiger crowd. IMO HJ is overrated!
I think somebody else just said it too!  ;D I dont think anyone except a die-hard HJ fan or a parent of an HJ player will take that bet  ;)
 12.
Prudohmme vs Stallworth, Gus vs Gained, Sutherland and Bosha vs Lane. I got my money on HJ...
??? By the match-ups you just stated, I got my money on Silsbee...
 13. Nederland won both their games today only because they had more talent than the other teams.. Nederland is not playing good baskeball right now, and will get beat soon by a team that will capitalize on their mistakes.. This tournament is Nederland's to lose. We will see how the other games turn out
Is this thread about history or this year?
Oh! I do believe it is about this year! No history lesson needed  ;)
 15. HJ is over-rated* *even if healthy
 16. What about Kristen Smith for Central? No factor?
 17. Boy, I will tell you some things that should have got Nederland beat tonight. When up by 10 with 4 minutes left, we decide to start shooting the ball as soon as we cross halfcourt, or making careless passes, or the post man is shooting 3's, and the worst one of all, after locking vidor up running a man defense, we switch to a zone... are you kidding me?  ??? Credit Vidor for showing up to play and giving the Dogs a battle, but this game had too many chances to get ugly, yet Nederland kept findings way to make any kind of comeback possible for the Pirates and you cant do that on somebody else's court.. Those mistakes will get Nederland beat when playing better teams. I will take the win, but not looking good late.

I understand being a fan of your team and getting upset when somebody from another team talks down on yours, but understand where im coming from. Hardin Jefferson this year is NOT as good as the past. Im going to love reading the things yall will be posting about the HJ and Silsbee games. Only some home-cooking is going to be able to help you in that series. I dont see HJ playing too deep into the playoffs because, well, they arent as good as the past years. I can be wrong here and HJ goes on to win state and win district. But, from I have seen from that team, its highly unlikely.
dog! My MAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Preach your wisdom and truth. Maybe we should make some friendly bets. If HJ make sa certain goal, then dog would have to wear a HJ shirt or something. And Nash a HF shirt...err Silsbee shirt ;D
I like that bet!  ;D I dont know if Nashy would wear a Silsbee shirt though

 21.

The West Brook game was by far the worst I have even seen that group play as a team. Couldn't make shots, couldnt handle the ball, and couldn't play team defense. And WB is all guards!!!!
interesting you say this.....but a spectator who has only seen Ned. play that one game (v. WB) may think Ned. is not that good this year based on that one game and say things like "well, they are just not as talented" or "based on what I have seen" to make their opinion sound educated when in reality they are basing it on one game they saw fairly early in the season...ya know....like you continue to do about hj
Now you are starting to sound like Nashy finding things to make a point for you be right somehow  :D Anyways, I have known that group of kids from Nederland for along time now and the style of play the bring. As far as HJ, I have seen them more than a few times buddy. Heres a fact for you, I wasnt even at the game against HJ, but I can tell you one thing, I knew this was going to be a struggling year for the hawklettes. I saw the players they had, and the players they lost, and could make an easy judgement by saying that HJ wasnt going to be very good, or at least, not as good as all the fans were hoping. IS that a correct statement? Has HJ been as good as you had hoped? At least Nederland is beating most of the teams they are Suppose to beat. Not the start I had hoped, but still winning the games expected of you. All the HJ stuff was to get the HJ people to realize the team they had this year. Dont need to get offended there  ;)
 22.
Vidor CAN play with Ned. These kids have played each other before and they and coach English KNOW that this game will not be a freebie... I expect a battle.
The way Nederland is playing defense right now, maybe Vidor can play with them.. I got a good feeling they will get that fixed for tomorrow though..
 23. Ned wins comfortably
 24.
HJ would have beat ball
Thanks for giving me something funny to laugh at this morning  ;)  :D But I guess back to the original topic, No, HJ will not win district 21-3A because Silsbee is a much better team THIS year
 25. Give us a top 10 of players in the area. Yalls opinion
