We'll even let him start Qb next FB season. ;)
I dont wont yall to be too good now  ;D  Forney needs to stay at Nederland. Basketball team can only get better from here..

I thought Nederland would be decent with Forney getting more and more experience. Is the rest of the team not able to fully utilize him? =D How did the freshman game turn out?
forney is just out of shape right now. you can see it in him when he plays. and the freshman won79-38
No experience in the backcourt for Nederland.. Too many guys that cant handle any ball pressure at the varsity level. Forney can play with anybody in the area but they have to get the ball down the court first..  Just sayin  ;D
They are all sophomores and juniors aren't they? I don't remember too many of the ball handlers from last year that didn't graduate.
pretty much.. 4 seniors gone including 3 yr starting point guard.. Nederland will be fine against teams that arent as athletic as Memorial and press you like no other..  ;) Good players to build off though.. Need experience.

 4.
Wasn't Ozen #6 in preseason?  Now there are not even in the top 25?
I knew they were ranked too high for what they lost last year..
 5.
1. Nederland (may be the deepest most talented team this area has seen in years. would be shocked if they loose a district game.) 2. Orangefield (2 big XII signees. And basiclly 9 returning starters once you throw in Huckabee) 3. Jasper (these guys could be playing orangefield for a trip to austin. and have a real shot at another title. speed, speed, speed) 4. PNG (should easily get second in district. they have a ton returning and have another shut down number one in benoit) 5. West Brook (Only 5a in the area. they should top this list every year. but they will make a return to the playoffs this year) 6. Vidor (I hear they have a supporting cast to go around Hester that is as good as the one that kept Nederland home from the playoffs a couple of years ago. they are going to be awefully good) 7. Bridge City (this kind of shows what depth there is in the area. may have the best player in the area and I wouldn't be suprised if they make a deep run, but until I see more from the supporting cast I will hold back.) 8.  WOS (the mustangs very well could, and maybe should, take the third spot in the playoffs from my longhorns. They have almost their entire team returning) 9. HF (we have some work to do. But if the young guys grow and mature around our couple of outstanding returners we might can get back in the mix.) 10. Lumberton (I am taking a dark horse for 4th place in this district. seems like the raiders have been building for the last couple of years and I look for them to take the step forward this year and oust the bears from the fourth spot) Other thoughts: Silsbee (many returners and will compete but still young) LCM (youth and inexperience could spell a long season for the bears) Kelly (young team, but could suprise some of the locals in tournamenst. they have a couple of real quality arms and will compete will  in thier league)
You have to remeber that PNG plays us well every year. They alwasy have the talent to maybe get one by us. Other than that, Nederland should have their way with the district.
 6. Hey now.. I have confidence in Nederland to give them a good game..  I'm trying  ;D
 7. I agree with memorial winning because they are better than Nederland this year, but I dont see them winning by 20 or more.. I dont think Nederland is going to getting in a track meet with memorial and just give them the ball off turnovers the whole game. This game could get interesting but Memorial should win.
 8.
Texas might smoke them too 8)
I'm liking that prediction.  ;D
 9. I dont think your going to Nederland play that bad again this year. Dogs should come back and play very well. Coach English will get this squad on track.
 10. North Carolina looked bad to open the second half.. They couldnt make a shot. Im glad NC lost. I dont like them anyways.  :)
 11. He is still shaking off the rust too. ;D Playing very well but has to cut back on those turnovers..
 12. Dogs in this one. Junior led team with alot talent. Forney and Smith are the big guys in the middle, while the new comer of the year, Chris Cunningham, looks to contribute big this year. BH is good and should play very well, but I think Nederland's going to be force in their district.
 13. J'covan Brown started for the Longhorns today vs. UC Irvine. 13 points, 2 reb, 1 steal, 5 TO through 21 min. Hope the best for J'Covan throughout the season.
 14.

Not sure on score but I know Kountze beat Central  by 27
omg..27? what was central doing handing them the ball..i know Rice was livid on the sideline
Well its not like Kountze is a scrub team lol Its not like Central is a either..
 15.
Crosby RB - Jakacy Evans 34 Carries - 223 yards - 5 TDs
outstanding game
 16.
Hold up there ace....all we heard all year long is how 20-4a is the greatest thing since sliced bread.  When in reality they're average....at best.
I hope you are still talking noise on this board when 20-4A sweeps. Go Dogs!!
 17. Nederland has a really good 9th grade class and should compete for district. Layne Smith isnt playing this year and that will hurt them from a scoring standpoint. Should be good games against Ozen and Central. Hope the freshman Dogs get it done.  :)
 18. Shead looks good and he definatly knows how to play football, but he is playing against 1A football teams. I just dont think he would be nearly as dominant against 4A or 5A teams. Could be wrong though..
 19. I want to see how Nederland does with the 4 starting seniors from last year gone and Forney still in football.
 20. What about Ozen being 7th? Same situation as HJ. Both teams losing Key players to their success. I think Ozen is going to be good but not that great. They did lose WillieJ and Breon.. D-Frank is going to need somebody else on that squad to step up to win distict this year.
 21. That Jordan Hamilton kid should see alot of playing time too. He knows how to put the ball in hoop...alot. ;D
 22. I watched the third place game between the 2 Nederland teams but left after that. LCM beat the Junior Ned team and Lumberton beat the Senior Ned team. Congrats to LCM and Lumberton for playing very well.
 23. Come on bulldog you can say Orangefield its ok Honestly with Felts and Statum anything short of DC looks to be a blown season... JMO Bridge City and Orangefield should both be very good in district. Just hope Hicks isn't pitching in that game. He's going to be one tough pitcher next year.
 24. Nederland and PN-G are always the toughests teams in 20-4a. Gotta like them dogs though. ;D
 25. Nederland has one of the best kicker/punters in the area in Taylor Trahan. I don't think he's missed an extra-point and he can kick the ball a mile.
