  1. GCM 28 North Forest 7 North Forest will run into a maturing GCM team...
  2. This "should" be an easy win for BH, unless turnovers get in the way......I'd like to see a game where we actually only have one or two turnovers..or hey, maybe none!!!!!!! The BH team may not realize just how good they can be if they can eliminate the turnovers.... Excellent receiving corp QB is a good athlete, "has a winning attitude",and excellent runner, just needs to mature a little more and learn when to throw the ball away rather than force it.. Defense has speed ,decent size, and "instinct" to the ball. Special teams is aggresive and much improved from the PNG game.. "Solid group of Seniors with a goal" that looks like its rubbing off on some of the younger players. BH 31 GP 10
  3. The "defense" is allowing the BH offense some time to mature and work out the kinks..That, and the play of Caleb Stork..He's already had one great season......but the turnovers will have to lessen or that will eventually bite us on the butt......Defense has looked good overall..and I agree Kade Bardford will only get better on D...If your not gonna run him in the backfield, put him somewhere and use him......Specila teams play was much better this week
  4. Thanks Ranger83... Yeah, I kind hit that one on the mark. GCM is a much improved team, young but getting better every week..Anybody that takes them for granted could end up with a loss..its early, but my playoff picks in 19-4a would be Dayton, BH, King, and GCM in the playoffs...Crosby will need to turn things around in a hurry.....In the years to come I think GCM will be a handful. Congrats to GCM........and of course BH on nice wins this week...
  5. Dayton will est them for lunch, dinner , and breakfast....Lot of time for the Dayton reserves to play....
  6. BH34, very good assesment of the overall picture I feel......I would probabaly give the offense a "C", overall, but the defense played very well. Offense just needs to eliminate the little mistakes , penalties, and turnovers that will cost them against a really good team..."High fives" to the special teams, much improved, and punt block special teams,,,2 blocks thats awesome.....and Cy Ranch is a large 5a school, just no Seniors. District play now starts, need to keep it rolling, and get better each week......Wish the "backup quarterback"could get some snaps, may need him down the road...Last night would have been a good game for that..
  7. Barbers Hill 32 Cypress Ranch 0
  8. 89' I love a good chocolate shake..lol... All the sub-varsity teams won, so really this one "should" be a win...Some of the reserves need playing time, so later in the year, "playoffs hopefully" they can contribute...Would like to see Cade get some time at QB...Hopefully tonite some more kids get looks.....just my opinion....
  9. Lumberton should win this one. They are well coached , fundamental football team that makes very few mistakes. Against a solid BH team, they looked good..They have a ball control type offense, that doesn't turn the ball over often.. Their kids execute well..I think Lumberton is 3-0 after this one and right on track.
  10. Steelcurtain, Well put! Plain and simple BH needs to win this game..0-3 start for this team would not be good, because the talent is there. Need to go into ditrict play with a win under their belt..

  12. Ok Ranger83, No harm done, lol......yeah, GCM I think will get better each year no doubt, just not quite there yet, but played P.Dawson actually pretty well...And your nephew, he's a really good kid! ....6-4.. That's a possibility....
  13. Ranger83, Wow, BH sure seems to be a burr under your saddle, not sure why.. But I'll bet you at years end even with BH starting out at 0-2, they'll have a better win-loss record than GCM..and they will beat them again this year also, with a full senior squad..BH has about 1000 kids enrolled, GCM is already at 1400, but that won't matter, BH will still be in the playoffs at years end with a better record than GCM.. Pasadena, I thought they only played soccer now...Talk about a JV team....
  14. Whens it all said and done BH will be in the playoffs this year, and GCM, that remains to be seen...They are improved, but we'll see if they make it.. Guess we'll all know in 8 weeks or so...BH has played 2 good teams, but yeah their 0-2..I agree I think they should at least give some new kids a look at corner, nothing against the kids there, but this would be a good week to try it..and BH had "alot" of missed tackles.. Fundemental football..."WRAP-UP".....
  15. And the other corner is a youngster..Lot of Senior talent standing on the sidelines..and I heard one of them quit over the weekend...Hate to see that.
  16. Thats not a real encouraging weather report...lol...Hopefully it'll move out early or miss us....
  17. Hopefully the rain will hold off.. Hate to see either team have to handle a wet ball, and play on a wet field..and not good for the fans...
  18. Dayton, Thanks for the info....Guy needs to get a life...Good luck to your boys against Friendswood!
  19. Raidernaytion, I'll tell ya what, the BH boys will be waitin on em to get there.. Hope Lumberton brings their "A" game, their gonna need it. Wow, you win a couple district titles in 40 years and its time to crow!. It will all be settled on the field....not on a forum...
  20. Could it be school politics at the hill......na. no way.....lol good luck to all the BH boys...
  21. Very well stated BH34..... One game doesn't define a season for anyone...Remember last years thrashing the first week that the Woodlands put on Katy 47-0... At the end of the season Katy had a new name.. "State Champions"..and by the way BH didn't surprise me how well they played, this team has very good attitude..no comparison to last years team.

  23. I'll go with PNG to win this one 27 to 21.. Another close one at home for PNG, but I think they will prevail.
  24. Barbers Hill 24 Lumberton17 The Hill gets their first win at home....against a good Lumberton team, but the BH defense too much, and 1st game jitters are over for the BH QB..
