The difference is, Clayton has a proven track record of sub-varsity success going on 20 plus years. Lumberton, hasn't done anything on the varsity level even those 2 years in 3A in the early '90

With Spring losing to WB tonight, they may lock up 3rd if they beat Spring next time

Didn't Vidor had 20 starters back this past season. Granted Ozen fell to sleep in the 2nd half and Vidor almost won an upset but Central put those hands to them in Vidor Now unless those 20 starters were all sophs and jrs., Vidor will be thin.....

All you need to know about Central is Coach Stowars is still there and he has the program rolling. Vidor needs to stay in offseason year around just to be able to compete......

I like Big Mike and so do those 100 plus freshman and more importantly, Mackey has a friend on the inside to help with keeping the kids in the program, setting up a decent non-district schedule, and aiding in the job search..... Big Mike has a lot of friends thought the community of PA....

I had a longggggggggggggggggggggg talk with the interim AD last night. Trust me, Mackey's ducking and dodgin' to keep somethings under wraps so those clowns on the school board won't have a leg up on what's going on. I offered some suggestions everywhere from potention HC's to maximizing existing buildings at the current campus. My man listened and I hope people in the community will stand behind him while he tries to right the ship and stand against stupidity in the name of Julia Samuels......

When SPISD and BISD were combined in '86, you essentially had 2 schools with 2/3 going to WB. I remember subbing @Little Brook(now Ozen) and they had 1000 freshmen. A lot of kids that were zoned to Central slipped over to WB during those days. Frank Middleton is one name that comes to mind

No Penny. Word is Stump may stay till this freshman group(Class of '09) comes through or when Dodge takes a college job which his son is a sophomore now. One of WB assistants is strongly looking at the PAM job and I heard that pre-Rita. If this person goes south, he may take assistants from all 3 BISD schools

Barbie's Hill will have a tough go in 4A. I can see 19 4A something like this Dayton Crosby CE King Forest Brook Smiley Huffman BH Galena Park BH may return a bunch of skill people but games are won and lost on the O line and I saw Dayton and Crosby last year and both lines are salty. What kills me is BH reminds me of LC-M not playing WO-S when they dropped to 3A. Far as I can remember, BH has never played Dayton in the last 15 years-----maybe longer. And Dayton is 15 mi north on 146...

There will be some movement among all 3 schools in Beaumont IF a certain individual becomes the head man in PA. Having said that, I told yall in the summer about Ozen and I told y'all about Central after the scrimmage I saw. Stowars and Clayton will battle for first, everyone else battles for 3rd......
