West Brook vs Ozen Predictions

How did Ozen look against North Forest??? DC doesn't have NF playing but Houston Chronicle has them fielding a team -
They gave up more points than the 2012 team did, and probably more yardage. Yeah, the Lincoln game was ugly, i think we were looking ahead instead of concentrating on the team in front of us.
That was a Suggs coached team that whipped Ned. The following year, 47-7 Central. Correlation? Suggs coached team.... Played on the 83 SFA team that gave up 6 points per game. We were dubbed the Attack Pack. Freshman year @UTA, I saw a Dangerfield letterman jacket from the same year. 1983 3A State Champions. 550-8.

LP's kinda low don't ya think? Their whole squad is returning.....

He retired when his son went to LU. When A Lew was @Ozen, he was a big O-fer against MC and was putting out 6-9 D-1 athletes. He didn't believe and defense and his record shows. Best coach Ozen had was Brooks period, end of discussion..... I hope they get someone that doesn't run the spread but I'm afraid they won't....
Who was the first coach? I thought it was Lewis. I don't think any of the coaches have had a winning record against MC, but I may be wrong.
Suggs and Brooks both had winning records against MC..... -

Everybody knows Nuemann worries about winning games. Could care less about helping kids get looks for college....
Correction.. Neumann cares about trying to turn young men into quality educated members of society... Something lots of people don't worry about anymore... The proof is in the pudding
Don't shoot the messenger. My statement was confirmed by a parent/co-worker who just happened to play for Nuemann and current has a son playing for him as well......

Judging Tony against his 10th grade year, it's like night and day. Did a better job tackling this year than last. Hope he makes another giant leap next year....

Northshore will never be the same running the spread. When they were dominant in the region, they ran out of the I and was physical. Normally, Hightower's been knocking them out of the 2nd round. If it were me, I'd run the bone and dominate the competition......

Texas High School Football has turned into a money sport.....period!!
Dallas Carter or Aldine High maybe??? Unless you consider LaMarque.....

Well, right now Lancaster, JT, Desoto and Houston Lamar(despite them being on Westheimer) are still in the mix......

You can only play 11 at a time......
yea but if you have a thousand more to pick the eleven from, odds are with you.
True. SC is 2019.5 while Vidor is 1380 and some change so that's 1009ish boys vs. 690ish. With all the nerdy-girly boys being produced, I reckon SC suits up 50 while Vidor suits up 40ish. But Vidor playing the QB both was is a shortcoming despite his skills on both sides of the ball. I saw him often limping and tired against Ozen. He may get worn out defending SC... But I stand with playing 11 at a time.
I see your point but if that is true then why have classifications in the first place? I agree that it may not be a big deal-breaker in this match up, but what about a 1A vs. a 5A? 11 on 11 right?
I guess on this level, the numbers argument is moot. Vidor beat Central, which has 250 more boys than they. They beat a 5A school which I think was double Vidor size. If numbers were so critical on this level, then the Aliefs and the Plano's of the world would have multiple championships. Well Plano High has several but since they broke them up into East and West, they haven't sniffed the Regionals in football.....

Sr. year watching French from PA. I remember when Anderson from Permian got flipped @the goal line from a vicious hit and all I could say was "here comes Mojo....." French did their thing 2 football seasons before becoming Central....

Better before the playoffs. Really, nothing to play for. Just to think about it, didn't those guys have a near letdown against that same LC-M Bear team already in district? And on top of that, Central sees the light at the end of a very dark tunnel thus far. Beat this team and then, cha-ching. Your playoff ticket is punched.
Since we are talking about letdowns and pointing out flaws about Nederland, let's look at what the Jags are going to face. Critique all you want and pick apart any of our WINS you want. A WIN is a WIN and Nederland has won their last SIXTEEN district games! Central has 3 losses in district and by the way the Dogs beat those teams by a combined 78-20! Central has been Jeckyl and Hyde all season long and if you are depending on us being "due for a letdown" to win this game, then good luck with that. Back to back undefeated district championships and a HOME game to boot? Nederland also has Back to back shutouts the last two games and out scored thd opponents 83-0. Can the Jags win? Sure they can. But, give me the consistent team with the consistent results week in and week out vs. a Jeckyll and Hyde team any day of the week. No team is ever as good or as bad as their last game either. Things normally revert back to the mean. Nederland wins against an inspired Jags team in this one 31-20.
Calm the bleep down Jake and breathe.....
LOL. I am extremely calm. Our playoff ticket is already punched. :-)
Good catching up with you Jake....
