I'm @work and my voice is jacked up from sinuses but those are the details. PN-G were given 5 gifts in the first half and that was one of them that led to a safety. Ozen missed a FG attempt also in the first half.

Looking at the stats, still having a hard time scoring in the redzone but looks like HBIV had a good night @QB -
After that bone headed boot leg play call on first and 10 on their on 2, a disgruntled fan came down to tell Rison and Co what a spectacular play that was. Needless to say, Jefferson Co.'s finest were a little slow to respond but the guy was escorted from the stadium. After that 'enlightning play' Rison took over the play calling in the 2nd half....

Still have to be able to run the ball. They keep messin' around, they won't make it out if district.....

When I speak of the Spread, I refer to the Todd Dodge version which they attack the seams and when teams drop 7-8 to defend the pass, they would run Luna or Newton on sprint draw plays. They and Alamo Heights from last year run the true spread. Most teams run some type of option scheme off it.....

I was watching Leander and Pflugerville last night and Pf'ville lined up in the I, the wishbone, 3backs across, and 4 wide. Mostly running outside with that 6'2" TB they had. Talk about smashmouth.

Well, from what I've seen, if it's not the pure Spread like what SLC runs, it's basically option football out of shotgun. Matter of fact, most teams that run from the 2 back spread look, are running veer option. Just 5 yards in the backfield....

I figured Ozen's jv must've won. Otherwise, we would've gotten play by play post by that PN-G poster.......

Amen Yeoj. Half of the staff that turned Central around 3 seasons ago are @Ozen. Central still has Stowers. Both believe in playing defense first and running down hill. What hurts Ozen is consistancy. Brooks was good the first year but got cute the 2nd year, bounced back the 3rd year but couldn't take the pressure. Same with Clayton. If Rison sticks around, Ozen's wins should match the number of scholarships they get year in, year out.... Now having said all that, without looking at the rushing numbers for all the teams, I say the district is down because there are no backs from the usual suspects on pace for 1000 yards for the regular season.

Memorial Regroups For District Opener

Always articles about RTG's shortcomings as a coach. When PA kids are highlighted, no mention of the parents names and where they work and what not unless former players. The divide continues..... -
Well Scalp em, if you want to consider WB wasn't around in the 50's plus Hebert(which was merged with Forest Park) has about 3 titles in the 50's and 60's plus 1 in the 70's, then the emmersion now called WB has more titles than PN-G..... But Yeo is right, 7-0 WB since '82 and y'all get 60+ scored on

Going for 2 and end the madness -
Ozen's the 1 who kicked the FG after the play clock was started after a dead ball foul. That was the rub. I guess revenge was received during the hurricane season when Ozen won the first flip in the I-Hop parking lot. Since PN-G blew them out last year, and Ozen has a new coach, I predict a Panther victory since new coaches there seem to do well in their first year...... Not to mention being healthy after that bruital non-district schedule
-
Central's big and can be physical also Swamppie. Jags by 20.......
-
I've been telling y'all Ozen's improved. Now with 3 5A teams under their belt, and a more smash mouth approch, they will finally take advantage of their big Oline and run passed and through the Indians. I say 18-10 Panthers and no if PN-G wins, it won't be 6 in a row

Houston Lamar makes short work of Memorial
SFA85 replied to KFDM COOP's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
I've always said PAM was soft on defense. Kinda saw some improvement until last night. But I can say they haven't as soft agaist the run like Nederland. You may not like it but the numbers speak for themselves..... -

I don't respond to internet gals pretending to be tough. Now, in the future, if any of you MC gals want to discuss football like men, then I'm open to it. Telling me to shut up, or telling anyone to shut up on the net wreeks(sp) of femanine ways..... -
Not only are Central and Ozen Acedemically Acceceptible as of 06-07 but the principal @Central was awarded Region 5 Principal of the year. Plus WB only holds 1700 and has 2500 with many kids sharing lockers. Perception vs. reality FP......

SJ in Houston and in Dallas probably recruit but the UIL has them playing in 5A for that reason plus they have no attendance zones.
