  1. Yeah it's suppose to be a 3-3-5 but I have yet to see a 335 'regular'. Most of the time, they have 6 on the LOS, 2 LBs, and playing man on the corners with the safety about 8 yards off the ball...
  2. I don't agree with James often but it's true. PAM has no red zone offense to speak of. Probably will be close like the Nimitz game but the boys in Black come up a wee bit short
  3. Kelly has an AAU team out there. Trust and believe, if those kids went back to their public schools, Kelly would be on level with Sabine Pass lol
  4. 10-0 JV from last year will help that knife get very very hot in district. Those kids have been wanting to be Mustangs and win rings since Pop Warner.
  5. Doesn't surprise me Scooter. This time, the 'have nots' won........
  6. WB has far the best Oline and Dline in the area. 2 six foot fivers and DE then they bring in a kid 6' 7" at the DT spot. Hard to run or throw against. Oline is fundementally sound which gives Micheals and Williams big holes to run through
  7. Ozen's stats, especially on defense, speak for themselves. They'll hold their end of the Beaumont vs. MC matchup this year for sure. While PN-G's playing Silsbee, Ozen played their 3rd 5A school in a row and have improved every week. Everyone has a week off to improve and heal so I expect big things from the Panthers when the Tribe comes to Lamar. As for Central, kinda hard to talk s---on the Jags when they have a 3-2 lead on PN-G and a 4-1 lead on Nederland since dropping to 4A
  8. You can line up WB vs Ned 20 times and WB wins all 20 of them. I'll take PAM and those odds also. And if you don't believe me, then let me show you some beach front property in Arizona.....
  9. That's true. When it started in the fall of '84, it was 6 weeks. You turned your stuff in and you hope(as in football) your team made the playoffs. Now they check every 3 weeks and if a kid is failing, he can still practice but misses 3 weeks while trying to pull his or her grades up
  10. Yates use to be 5A but have been playing 4A for the last 6 years now. And Jake, always check with me before you believe those yahoos from KLVI.....
  11. Ozen held Seguin to 102 Total O, and 6 of those 8 points came on a fumble recovery for a TD and the 2pointer. Ozen's D is playing lights out right now.......
  12. Jack Yates is neither 5A nor an opponent of Brenham. Brenham beat 4A Houston Worthing last week. And CC will win that district unless The Cubs' secondary gets over the fear of hitting
  13. If Ozen gave up more yards than Ned then no. But I like what they're doing on defense......
  14. [Hidden Content] SLC's radio station online
  15. Hot damn..... Congrats Coach Rison on your first win
  16. My point exactly. Ozen's problem for the past 5 years has been their Oline not being able to block the spread. People would put 7 in the box and dare them to run. I'm glad they've made the switch to really take advantage of their size up front
  17. Carter's numbers are down plus old boy loves the Wing T. Their best days were in the late 80's/early 90's but I see your point. PAM has talent but the spread is not for everybody......
  18. No. But it doesn't make sense to have a D1 prospect on defense and give up so many yards. Doesn't make any sense
  19. I would like to see #5 @TE, Revulta @FB WR to each side and that Gardiner kid @TB inside the 15 yard line
  20. DQ game of the week
  21. No they won inspite of giving up those yards lol.
  22. Locally, Rison, Stowars, or Stump. Statewide, that guy @ Lamar Consolidated
  23. There you go typing w/o Hubby's permission. If you really knew football, you know despite the 3-0 record, both lines need work. Yes, y'all beat the Ice Creamers and Waller but Caney Creek may win the whole thing. BTW, Brenham held off 5A Houston Lamar 17-16 so sounds like they're playing better
  24. No scooter they wouldn't.....
  25. That's not gonna cut it my friend and you know it. And that -6 yards rushing won't win many district games either....
