PNG is good, but not in the same league with the likes of Lake Travis, etc...Don't let a little "purple pride" cloud your judgement.
what does this have to do with Lake Travis? PN-G has gotten better each week and has the stats to back it up. Barbers Hill has not played with ANY consistency against quality opponents the entire year. Padding stats against non-contenders gets you nowhere. Turnovers have plagued them all year and that did not change right into week 10. I have a hard time seeing them come out and playing mistake free ball. PN-G has one of the best turnover margins in the entire state regardless of classification. The have the number one defense in 20-4A and a top ten defense state wide. The 20 points BH scored in week 0 or the most this team has yielded. BH better bring their A+ game and hope the NDNS help them out some if the BH fans plan on going home happy. They have not shown the ability to do that all year.
Parts of your post are very true :) Turnovers have plagued us all year, but to think they are not capable of a good game? I wouldn't put my paycheck on it. The good ole saying of "On Any Given Friday" was put together for a reason and that reason is that teams win that are not statistically supposed too. Now with that in mind the Eagles had more turnovers against any team that they played the whole season and didn't take them to over time because of a field goal (PAT). Padding our stats you could say the same for PNG as I don't think either team has played a state contender. Both teams have played well PNG has the better record because they hang on to the ball. My logic is this if BH has scored the most points against PNG all season with 7 turnovers how much could they score with 0? Will we get to see? Who knows, but I'm not ready to give PNG a first round bye because they beat 20-4A teams ;D Central will be the best team that PNG has faced since BH in week 1 IMHO.
Did you miss the 37-7 beat down of Crosby or the 39-6 beat down of Lumberton in which starters were pulled early in the second half of both games? Both teams BH lost to. I think BH has the talent to play with us. We had 5 turnovers that game ourselves as well as over 100 yards of penalties. The difference to me is that we have made strides on both offense and defense since that game while BH has shown that they will let the same flaws get them beat. Maybe they put it all together....I just don't think it happens.

I'm not dogging any one I just said I think 21 5-a is differant from your league, and that the caliber of athlete isn't the same. So you're telling  me you wouldn't take a rb that was disciplined and ran a 4.4  a yes sir no sir type kid over a kid that did the samething he just ran a 4.7 that's all i'm saying it's different.
Exactly, controlled part where 1st and 2nd teams were alternating, unlike the live game where it was one's versus one's. Speed does not make you more productive. It makes you more dangerous. Why does Harmon lead the entire area in rushing with 4.7 speed while playing on maybe the most balanced offense in the area. PAM lost to another 4A school in Central. PS...I pull for PAM all year. My wife is a TJ grad. I hope to see us play in the future.

Here are some numbers for you soulja against common district opponents. PN-G 31.5 points per game    12.1 allowed (including the 20 our second and third team gave up to Ozen) Central 31.6 points per game    19.5 allowed (where looking at your box scores teams were not scoring gimme points like Ozen). Throw out the Vidor game on each side and we still have better stats while calling off the dogs in more than one game (Lumberton and Ozen). What makes you think you are so superior?

In the 4 games against the (3) 19-4A playoff teams and PN-G.....the BH's QB has thrown for less than 50% accuracy and a whopping 5 TD's and 10 interceptions. They are also 0-4 in those games. None of their 5 wins have came against a team with a winning record. Their defense gave up on average over 26 points per game to those four winning teams. The five wins have come against four teams with a combined record of 10-29 and one win against a first year JV team. PN-G has already defeated (4) 4A playoff qualifiers including BH and 19-4A champ Crosby. They have a statewide top ten statistical defense. They have the second leading offense in 20-4A including the leagues leading rusher. But, the BH faithful seem to think they are the team to beat. They have no basis to stand on except for "because I say so". I have not decided whether it is comical or sad to read their delusional comments. The bright side is come 11/14 all this chatter will come to an end. Enjoy this one playoff game. If you move to 20-4A next year it will probably be two years before you get another chance.
The only basis they have is that they lost to PNG by one point and frankly their not afraid of the big bad wolf ! GCM is a new school and probably will not hang around 4A long if the rumors are true. CE King once was a good program but they have not done much lately. The other teams are very weak. I don't think 19-4a 1 -4 matches up with our 1-4 and I don't think 19-4A non-playoff contenders match up with ours. In my opinion 24-4A is number 1 followed by 20-4A then 18-4a with 19-4A falling in somewhere behind them.

Soulja, I may have missed it, but what is your prediction for the game?
28-14 Jags.  I'm expecting our first complete game of the season for the last game at Babe and a share of the District title. To the poster that stated that I need to put my 'big boy pants' on, my feelings are not at all hurt by the smack talk, as I can talk it up with the best.  If we lose, I will be the first to congradulate Indian Nation on the win.
Maybe big boy pants was not the best phrase. You should know with this big of a game coming up that fans from both sides are going to stir the pot. I really don't think it is a cockiness. Should I think you are a cocky, arrogant Jag fan for thinking you will be the first team to put up 28 points on us all year? Not at all...you just believe in your team. That was my point.
 25.
What, waste money on a shirt for the short tag along back to PNG after a one and done 1st round loss......
I hope you are going to have the guts to come on here and eat your crow after your team gets smacked with a first round loss. I'm just saying.
