PN-G also leads the district in ppg at 14 given up (70 on the year).

I would too, PNG has played all of its games on turf. They have yet to play in the mud. Advantage Livingston, IMO. From what i have heard, the Indians have been practicing on the old practice field instead of the turf, and the coaches have watered the field. That is smart considering it has been raining... ??? I live in Port Neches and have been cutting my grass with no problems. It hadn't rained enough to create a problem there.That old practice field drains real well also. Well I am certain that if it's grass in Livingston, thier coaches will be flooding the visitor sidelines tomorrow for a lil extra help from DEM' SKEETERS ooooooooooooooooohhhhh scaryyyyyyyyyyyy Maybe we should bring a bunch of "OFF".

No respect. I would have not expected anything more from a bitter Nederland fan. Ok, PNG is good team, new coach and has beat Nederland and Ozen in district. Would they beat Dayton and Central? I can't see it at this point. Vidor took Central to the wire and beat a very good Lumberton team. Beat Livingston this week and PNG will be in my top 5. I understand what you are saying, but it is flawed. Vidor, Central, and Lumberton all have been playing excellent football. Can you name me a signature win for any of them that exceeds anyone PN-G has beat besides beating each other? Why is West Brook not number 1? They beat Central and I think most would agree they would beat Vidor and Lumberton. The way I see it PN-G has earned a top 5 spot by taking care of what they are supposed to. I would put them there and take them out if / when they lost. I think your top 5 is a good one, just not representable of what has happened to this date.

In my opinion, you can't base the rankings on who you think would beat who. I would hope a solid 3A Silsbee would beat a 1A team. Just like West Brook beat Central, yet Central is ranked #1 and WB is way lower. It should be based on what the team has accomplished up to this point in the year. When you vote the way you see fit you get guys voting with their heart and not with what has happened on the field. Some people here have agendas and it shows in their voting.

It is hard to criticize the refs. The penalties they called seemed legit. I could not see the holding calls from my seat, but you have to assume they are just not throwing the flag to throw it. The only no calls that bothered me were the late hit that was helmet to helmet while Deron was laying on the ground. The replay showed it clearly. He could have had been hurt easily on that play and the face mask on Segura. The ref threw the flag but for PI. Go figure. It is hard to argue false starts, delay of games, and chop blocks. They were all pretty clear.

FYI. Ned fans BOOED the PNG cheerleaders at midfield AND our school song FIRST! We merely reciprocated. In the future , get your story straight before you point fingers. Agreed PNGProud, Nederland booed the our cheerleaders.....Real classy but expected from Nederland. I love this, I hope this rivalry gets really heated after this year. Nederland is classless again, folks booing, PNG won... we may have the old rivalry back. Oh, and I love what we got coming up. What, a butt whipping from our JV and plenty of help coming back next year? Yea, I guess I do to.

If they play like they are capable then I would say you could not be more wrong, but if they continue to have poor clock management, accrue dumb penalties, and drop balls that are stuck in their gut......the you could be right.

The school songs were played AFTER Ned fans booed our cheerleaders. It started on their side. It is part of the atmosphere to me and I have no issue with it.

Great effort from Nederland. Turnovers hurt them. Penalties and dumb mental errors killed many PN-G drives. Congrats to both teams. If PN-G plans on staying unbeaten they better get their heads on straight. When they are clicking they are tough to stop.

We would be if we hadn't lost to WO-S, Friendswood, and Ozen hahahah Your in pretty good spirits Jake. Trying to take your mind off the bad things that are likely to take place this Friday to your bulldogs at The Rez? ;D

Tell me about Big Boy. How big is he? Is he fast? What's his name, etc? What was the score between PNMS and Central? Man, I am full of questions today! #42 is the RB. I believe his name is Nick. He looks to be about 5'7" or 5"8". He is solid for a 7th grader and runs with speed and alot of power. PNMS had a linebacker (#57) that was the first kid I have seen hit him and not get drug a few more yards. PNMS had some BIG kids. The PNMS 8th grade kids were even bigger. PNMS 8th grade had kids that looked like JV lineman. I have no idea how that game turned out but the 7th grade game was 22-12 CMS I believe.

On a lighter note. I went and watched the 7th grade game between CMS and PNMS. The CMS rb was once again the star of the game. PNMS hung in well and played good defense. I think the PN-G middle school teams will struggle for a little while learning the offense the varsity runs but in the end it will pay off. CMS ran big boy left, big boy right, and big boy up the middle. * I edited my note on the CMS coaches but will say they really set a piss poor standards for a group of 12 and 13 year olds. They were whining to the refs, berating everyone from the players to the ball boy, and being poor sports in general. Not the enviroment I would want my kids learning in.
