  1. Just curious BH.....what is Eal Football. Is that some new sport West of the Trinity River? You talk a lot for a fan whose team is sitting home for the playoffs. Has Barbers Hill ever beaten a Golden Triangle team? And, yes that is ®eal question.
  2. I would not count out the teams from this district. Those teams are all beatable.
  3. Three words for you....White running back. I have heard rumors of a certain D-1 Texas school looking at him, but I do not know if that is still the case. Their whole staff will probably be gone after this year, so I am suspecting he will probably get a shot at one of the D-1 AA schools or maybe a NAIA school. He is big enough to play fullback at the next level. He has good hands, can block, and obviously run well. I do not think he could be a featured back like Mosely at North Texas, but he could help a team at fullback.
  4. Where did you find this at?
  5. ok,.....thanks for the info.
  6. just out of curiosity...who is the big school in your district over there?
  7. This is going to be a good game. I think the only way we see a big Dayton win is if we pull starters and make sure we head into next week healthy. I still think we have to play a near turnover free game to have a good shot. We cannot turn it over 2 or 3 times and expect to leave Dayton with a win.
  8. I think this will be a low scoring game. If PN-G can run the ball and not turn it over then PN-G 17 Dayton 14. If we turn it over more than twice and our D stays on the field too much then Dayton 28 PN-G 14. It should be a good match up. We just have to cut out the mistakes.
  9. 42-21....Central scored again with the back ups in. The game was not as close as the score seems. PN-G dominated this game. They turned the ball over at the 11 and 22 leading to both Central scores. The second TO led to a three and out but a roughing the kicker the call put Central back in business and they scored. Tatum and Hemmings both had solid nights. We will have to play error free to compete with Dayton. It should be a good one.
  10. Great job 87. I am personally hoping for #25, but see it being #19.
  11. Just out of curiosity...... Lets say PN-G, Lumberton and Nederland win this week. Dayton beats PN-G and Nederland beats Lumberton the last week. That would leave ... PN-G 6-1 Ned 6-1 Dayton 5-2 Lumberton 5-2.............Does Lumberton go due to head to head or does it still go to points? If it goes to points I am assuming that would leave Lumberton out due to losses to both MC schools hurting their points. disclaimer: This is not my predictions....just a what if.
  12. I think doing it at home is fine. It is your field so have it. Doing it on the road is another thing. It is not your field, so don't do it.
  13. The only way you play Galena Park is if PN-G does not make the playoffs. PN-G has a larger enrollment than Nederland.
  14. Except for the one that counts.........that district loss.
  15. That thing was playing a week before the loss to PN-G. Amazing endurance. It will probably play for a while. At least until next year.
  16. I thought the smack attack guys mentioned WOS might be headed back to 4A this time. It did not seem likely to me. What is the cutoff now?
  17. My karma goes down daily even though I have not disagreed with anyone since the Lumberton game. I got a feeling some of those Lumberton guys are still smiting me.
  18. I was in the student section for the 92' game. That was going to be my greatest moment also.
  19. I think I was the only PN-G fan there. It was good to put some faces to names. Westend, where did you go?
  20. Only my pride after getting beat deep by someone younger and faster than me. It was fun.
  21. Exactly. I am not sure about the rule when the WR is in the area. I am assuming it has to make it past the LOS even if the intended WR is standing at the LOS and it falls just short of him. The only call I had a problem with was the 15 yarder on Doty. He did not spike the ball, he did not get in anyones face, he slammed the ball on the ground as he was getting up. I guess being excited about a big play is taunting. If they want to call it that close then #49 should have caught a flag for taunting the stands and and our sideline. Like I said, he got a pat on the back.
  22. All he has to be is outside the tackle box. He threw it within a few yards of Doty. The question was whether the ball made it back to the LOS.
  23. The kid touched the ball at the one and it went into the endzone where he fell on it. That is a touchback. The ref crew was lost all night. That was the first time I have ever seen a series start at the 20 after a touchback and the team make it PAST the 30 and the refs call for a measurement. I knew it was going to be a long night then. On the hold on Vidor's TD the gurd was holding our tackle by the back of his jersey. That is why Franklin was running as he threw. He was being chased by a guy that was being held. Overall we played a sloppy game, but i think the turnovers had more to do with Vidor being aggressive and jumping our snap count. The Vidor defense played tough. Good game on both sides. I never really saw any dirty play either. Maybe Vidor will be this years Lumberton in a couple of years with all the soph. they have starting. Also, awesome halftime show.
