He was a good coach, and was a proven winner in all sports. I was, and still am, a huge fan of Price.

[/quote] I have know Chris Jones since his days of working under Bobby Davis at Frenship. Jones is a class act. He will ALWAYS put the best interest of the kids first..........ALWAYS. Sometimes the parents and community do not realize this. Jones did a great job at Post. He did a great job at LaMarque before that, and a great job at Rufigio before that. He is a winner, and the kids are fortunate to have him. As a coach, I do not appreciate folks slamming coaches on a public message board when they do not know him. Call him up. Chris will talk to you about any and everything you want, for as long as you want.

Texas plays under NCAA rules. Most other states (but not all) play under NFHS rules. Therin lies the difference. Texas players are more ready for college.

It seems like they could have waited until Monday to make this announcement.

In 1971, another great game......... Quarterfinals.........Kyle Field Barbers Hill 14          Schulenberg 14 BH advanced on penetrations Barbers Hill scored 2 touchdowns in the last 3 minutes of the game to tie.

It was either in 1970 or 1971. Crosby    2 C. E. King 0 Playoff game at Baytown's Stallworth Stadium. Blinding rain storm.
