I expect them to be ranked as well.  I just hope they don't lose their ranking after losing to  a really good 4a squad from across town.  ;D ;D ;D ;D
I hope the same---but we seem to have Ozens number these days.
::) ::) ::)
I think Soulja was refering to Central ( :D )....Don't worry Soulja, DA Brook will be ready.. On another note, Jr competed in his first combine of the off-season in Rosenberg....a couple of Hightower kids/parents were present(we had some interesting conversations)...he did ok....the laser timed 40 was a first...I didn't like it, kids were rocking and rolling into starts...it was jr's worst 40 since his freshman year (4.80!! on the track with spikes), he weighed in at 180 lbs, 34" Verticle, 9' 2" broad jump, 4.22 in shuttle....he missed being perfect in 7 on 7 by one pass (over thrown).  I asked the guy holding the combine why they ran on the track...I said "..they play on the field."...he didn't like my logic and I didn't like the ghetto a$$ time system from the '70's.  earlier in the week jr ran a 4.50 @ WB, on the field, in cleats.. ??? Anyway, we'll "Keep on keepin on" - J Dirte'
 2. I think to keep the team focused, they stack the offers in the coaches office and open them up for Christmas '10... :o...you also have to figure work ethic....I'd hate for the team to automatically think they have a bye to the third round....we have to remain focused.
 3. whens the SETXsports team comming out?
 4. Congrads to these fine young studs...

 8.
Again, comparing OF's offense to the Army, Navy, GA Tech offense is apples and oranges.  They maybe more like them than some teams that run the shotgun, but what OF does is nothing like what Army, Navy and the likes run.
Well, correct me if I'm right....the wing T is a "Run" heavy offense(Triple option, Power plays, and maybe passing 8-10 times a game)....Is this OF's offense?  (It looks like it Statistically)....then it is very similar to Air Force and Navy.....I was a wing T QB(my avg throwing night was 4-7, 74yds, nothing like Jr)....yes, Air Force and Navy's offense is built around the accronym " KISS ", Keep It Simple Stupid, it is one of the most dicipline offenses that still exists...execution-execution-execution.... As for the Huckabay kid playing QB at the next level, I think it's up to the kid(if he wants it)...I haven't seen him play, but most QB's are athletic enough to fit in anywhere on the field. ;) Jr was a wing T QB for 5 yrs in little league...got to WB and transitioned to the spread, he's done ok.
 9.
Did you ever see the kid throw a pass?  If you did you would know he's not a QB.  I've also never seen a college at any level run the wing-T or slot-T.
Air Force, Navy, Army
 10. I'd like to see WB scrimmage LAMAR UNIVERSITY....lol... ;D
 11.
I don't think Faircloths wife wants to return to Permian, you know what they say. If she ain't happy no one is. He should be coach of the year, no doubt. PA News was behind this? They really love PNG LOL......................
If she aint happy, usually coaches arent around anyway...til the summer....then they can go on vacation and visit PNG, LOL.. :D :D
 12.
You guys either forget or don't realize that Beaumont pays all three coaches the same salary. Last I looked Stump was making less than $80K a year. Same as Washington and Nelson. He will be offered $95K+ somewhere and WB will not be able to counter because it would cost them 45K+ and they are not about to pay Nelson or Washington $95K! He also is not going to be AD at WB. And wherever he goes, he will bring his son's with him. Besides I hear that there is or was another Freshman that started over his son this year??(is this correct?) If Faircloth leaves PNG, it will be for Permian! Of course Permians own Coach Allman who was a Permian allum left for Austin Westlake and $125K a year this year (and they are playing for th state title this weekend). I think if Faircloth gets paid (and PNG will pay) he will stay for a while. The key will be keeping all of the great assistant coaches he brought in (several will be HC candidates very soon somewhere).
Stump Jr was on JV and played about 1/2 the season...he got hurt a week before being pulled up to Varsity....but there was no one else....I wouldn't see Faircloth going back to west Texas...allum or not...unless he gets offered some crazy amount of money...Faircloth will cut out like the Cincinatti coach did for Notre Dame... 8)
 13. Congrads to Collin Garrett!!! ;D 8)
 14.
More from the Beaumont Enterprise:
The addition of at least five players with at least one season of collegiate experience to the Lamar University football program Wednesday reenforced one element about the team that may not be immediately apparent. The Cardinals, set to play their first game in nearly 21 years Sept. 4, will carry the status of a first-year program. But that distinction will not be entirely evident by their roster. Of the 37 players signed to a football scholarship at LU, 15 have at least one year of college playing experience. More may be added today, the second day on which mid-year college transfers can sign a letter of intent with a new school. "We definitely want to line up with McNeese with a little more experience, a little older player or two," said LU coach Ray Woodard, whose team will face that talented McNeese State squad in that first game, in Lake Charles, La.
Michael Allen, DB, 5-10, 180, College of the Sequoias (San Marcos, Calif., HS): Spotted by LU coach Ray Woodard and his staff on a highlight video sent to the school. Will fill a need at cornerback, Woodard said. Ryan Clark, DB, 6-1, 190, Navarro JC (Ozen): Intercepted seven passes and earned juco all-American honors as a freshman while playing for current Woodard in 2007. Signed with SMU after 2008 season but did not qualify academically. Collin Garrett, S, 5-11, 194, Tulane (West Brook): Saw plenty of action in true freshman season. Athletic enough to play multiple positions on offense and defense at West Brook. Transferring because of homesickness, he said. Stephone Mercer, CB, 5-11, 185, Navarro JC (Austin LBJ): Recruited to Navarro by Woodard before he left the school to become the head coach at LU in May 2008. Mercer played two seasons at Navarro. Josh Powdrill, WR, 5-9, 165, Navarro JC (West Brook): Recruited to Navarro by Woodard and played with current LU quarterback Andre Bevil in 2008. Caught 17 passes for 335 yards and two TDs in a run-based offense this season. [Hidden Content]
Is still at WB coach...but he would also make a nice addition,  ;D
 15.
T: Greg Lunceford,    Port Neches-Groves 6-6 280            Sr. Wow Greg grew about 3 inches and gained about 30 pounds overnight. He also moved up a grade (he is a Jr.)! I know his dad goes 6'8" and his brother was about 6'6", but Greg is only about 6'3". Not any love for those Vidor Linemen or RB's on any of these teams. Really suprises me. Also quite shocked that Stump got coach of the year. He did a great job and made I nice run and jsut about any other year I would agree, but a first time coach turning around a 3-6 last place finisher into an 11-1 team that lost in a nail bitter to the possible State Champs? Oh Well. Congrats to all these young men and Coach Stump. He is an excellent coach (Just wonder how much longer WB can keep him at that salary?)
Mr Greg's size was not increased by me, nor was his class...I got the info from the hand out...Do you really think coach stump would leave before his boys got through WB??  I say Faircloth leaves when Stump leaves....cause when stump leaves faircloth will be coaching my younger son...@ WB.... :o :o :o

 23. I know for a scrimmage you can feed the kids.  During the regular season if you decide to feed the kids, you basically have to be ready to feed anyone who walks up, this way no one can say it's "for the Team"...the post season is the same, just feed everyone....you'll get the support....I've fed Visitors when we're home and fed home when we're away....you stay neautral and it's not for profit...and you don't violate anything....your just cooking for the free world.. ;D....
