BH has more talent returning on both sides of the ball than does Dayton. 2. Dayton is losing almost every key player, except the QB and he is not as good as either BH QB. 3. Deny is going to be a Div-1 athlete. Townley is talented enough you could see a two QB system next year. 4. I expect Townley and/or Deny will play some defense next year in situational circumstances. 6. BH's O-Line and D-Line will be bigger than any other district team. 5. They get kudos from all over the state and I don't have to go back to my elementary school days to find when they won their last state championship. Pearland is good, I'm not denying that. But they aren't 51-22 good over West Brook....normally. We have played better against better teams. Mark my words, if Pearland makes it to the Region 3 final against Katy, Katy will crush them! They are beatable!!! We just didn't show up and execute. No two ways about it. This WB team played poorly today. We never had an opportunity to be competitive. They did some things that made us make some adjustments in the 2nd quarter. The problem is, we never made those adjustments. Just sayin.
apparently.... your not as good at evaluating football as you think you are..... just saying..
There are a hand full of people that can evaluate on this board pretty well... I posted on the other board...Pearland by 7 or less...I saw the teams evenly matched across the board, with the big play ability going to Pearland. As for our match up with Pearland...I'll still say we can play with anyone. :P -
Weed Be Back now. Decided to post on this thread before it gets locked up. I have been out a couple of weeks on business and vacation. I missed the Pearland game because i had to be out of town. Congrats to all Da brook players for entertaining me with their great talents. sorry it ended this way, but as SGT said earlier, there is something to gain even out of a loss. I also want to add my appreciation for the coaching staff and other support given to these kids during the season, especially for the fans who stay positive through thick and thin. Without any intentions to get into a p***ing match with outsiders ----it is a priviledge again to have my kids go through the WB programs, to have a wife and daughter teaching there, and to be asked for my 10th year in a row to represent the WB Band tomorrow in my big fat red and white outfit as they travel to the assisted living centers to bring the joy of Christmas season to the elderly and various challenged people within our great community. While i am sure that the other area High schools enjoy similar opportunities, I am quite proud to be a part of this one. Let us all try harder to back off the naughty and focus on the nice for the rest of this season----cause I'll be watching and making a list ;) :D
Well said SANTA -
I am surprised at the uproar over all district. The watered down all district selections happen in all sports in 20-4A. If you have paid attention it seems the standards change each year to fit who the most influential coaches want to get recognized from their team. I compare it to summer league all star selections when kids make it due to being related to a coach; because every team feels they have to be represented whether they have a player deserving of the recognition; or because they have a good looking momma. ;)
LOL! :D...Go Moms! :D :D

Congrats to everyone who made the list...but I agree that the first 11 should be 1st Offense, next 11 should be 2nd Offense, etc.. K, UT...the list that we see should read 1st Team 2nd Team 3rd Team 4th Team ;D
Last time I checked there where 11 positions on offense and 11 on defense, that's the # of 1st team and 2nd team players there should be, having 23 1st team offensive people is rediculous. I also think once you've been chosen to a spot that should be it and consider other players for the other spots. Sonnier from Nederland was easily the MVP of the district and not 1st team WR, that's meant as a compliment to Trevin not a gripe, has was the most valuable player in the district, Gonzales should have been 1st team QB. As for Nelson from PNG, the stats don't lie, he should have been 1st team, I just don't think we need 5 WR's on 1st team, 2 or 3 at the most, I think it takes away from what the better players did when you water it down this much, might as well give out participation ribbons like the elementary track meets do. Coach of the year was debatable, Coach Crouch was deserving as where 2 or 3 others, I think it shows the respect the other coaches have for Coach Crouch that he was chosen, even though he didn't make the playoffs he did an outstanding job. Nelson 74 1123 12 it is not even close. Take away the two extra games and Nelson still had more catches, yards, and TD's than those two combined. And he is a second teamer?
