Little league or Pony don't matter, it's about learning the fundamentals. It's about teaching the kids the right stuff. If a young man is taught how to steal a base by someone who has no clue, then in high school he will be that much farther behind the player that was taught the correct way. Running, catching , throwing, hitting .......... bottom line is to find good coaching and private instruction. Invest in your children. Time, time, time.

3rd down and 54. I know some body has a picture of that.

You can get another puppet, but it's who is jerking the strings that might be the problem. Who knows? It might be a problem of both.

I think they have the coach they wanted. They interviewed him and they hired him and it looks like they are sticking with him. The real question is....... what do they want to accomplish?

When does school board voting start?

I guess the reference is to the scoreboard? As far as what's going on with LCM, it looks like it's time to tighten up the belt and hang in there. Not quit! Walking out is not the answer. We need to encourage our young people to hang on and keep working hard and respect authority. I'm not sure what they have learned in football, but I bet you that they are learning some lessons in life. Don't get me wrong, I want to win. If the coaches can't motivate, then let's encourage our young people to be intrinsicaly motivated and get the job done. Maybe these players can teach a few things to the coaches, by having the right attitude. Now is not the time to drag up, but dig in.

Best Returning Pitcher or Pitchers For This Year?

The offseason is where players are made. We will find out soon who has been working. -
They aren't competing. A wise man told me to surround yourself with talented people (coaches) and they will make you look good. At LCM, I don't believe it's the lack of talent in the players.

I posted this on the Jr.High sports section and thought it would fit here. The problem with Jr.High sports isnot kids being split up, it's about the number of coaches on the sidelines. Did you notice this year when your team played a Nederland or PNG school at their home field that they had at least 6 coaches on the sidelines? They are high school coaches going the extra mile to help the program. At LC, at halftime, at home, we had one coach filling water jugs and the other coach wrapping a foot.(good guys, just not enough of them) PNG and NED have a coach for each position going over their assingments. That's called a program! After the varsity or sub varsity is done at practice, the coaches show up at the jr.high games. For an AD that's called job security!

Kyle Adams from LCM (transfer from hill jr.college) is playing at Wayland Baptist University. After a sucessful fall season he will be the Pioneers #3 on the mound.BLUE/GOLD TOURNEY CLOSES OUT FALL BALL Coach Josh Milner's Blue team defeated Coach Brandon Henegar's Gold team 5-2 in nine innings on Friday night to capture the championship of the Blue/Gold series, the annual week-long event that closes out the Pioneer's fall baseball season. There was no lack of drama and excitement during the five-game series, which included two extra-inning contests, a grand slam homer, two games won by the mercy-rule, a fractured elbow, a broken hand, and a big bolt of lightning. Freshman pitcher Trevor Stringer picked up two of his Blue team's three wins. The graduate of Lubbock's Monterey High School started game two of the series, earning a 7-2 win, then pitched an inning-and-two-thirds of scoreless relief in the final game of the series for the second W. In his two appearances, Stringer allowed two unearned runs on four hits in eight-and-two-thirds innings, striking out 13 and walking just two batters. Senior Gary Gates pitched five innings of two-hit ball in game one to lead his Gold team to a 12-1 victory. Sophomore Kyle Adams got the other win for the Gold, an 11-1 thrashing in game four. Adams pitched a complete game, allowing a run on four hits in his six innings of work. The third game of the series on Wednesday was interrupted by a severe thunderstorm that blew through the area. Junior southpaw Jason Kimzey of the Blue team was working on a two-hit shutout when the game was called in the bottom of the fifth inning. When the game resumed on Thursday, sophomore Paul Rodriguez hit the first pitch over the left field wall to stake his team to a 3-0 lead, but the Gold team responded with three unearned runs in the top of the sixth. Junior centerfielder Todd Jeffress put the Blue team back on top by one with a bomb of his own in the bottom half of the frame, but junior outfielder Westin Rhoads scored another unearned run for the Gold team in the seventh on freshman shortstop Scott Keane's RBI single. Neither team could manufacture a run in the eighth, but the Blue team got the winning run across the plate in the bottom of the ninth when Rodriguez doubled home Brett Sheppard, a junior catcher, to give senior reliever Rodolfo Olavarria the 5-4 victory. Sheppard (.462) and Jeffress (.429) swung the hot bats for the Blue team during the series. Sheppard's hits included two doubles and a home run, while Jeffress had two doubles, a triple and two homers, including a grand slam in game two. For the Gold team, junior second baseman Brett Cook hit .400 with two doubles, and Vinnie Biancamano (.333), a senior shortstop, belted out three doubles, a triple and a series-high nine RBI. Speedy freshman third baseman Eddie Allen (.333) ran out two triples and was a perfect four-for-four on the base paths. The 2008 baseball season kicks off on January 18 when the Pioneers travel to Brownsville to take on the University of Texas-Brownsville in a three-game series. -

What was the penilty? -
Other teams throwing the ball isnot what beats LCM, it's LCM beating themselfs with turnovers. If LCM can hold it they should win it!

LCM by 10. More speed than you realize.

Sleeper team to watch out for in 22-4A

Easy now fellas. Remember, it's about the boys not the men. Great job of coaching these boys to both teams. If you are from the golden triangle and play baseball, eventually these boys will play togeather during summer leagues. Parent's, be very careful of your actions and what is said during these games because they may haunt you later. Good luck to all teams.

Great job Jack's. Hard work pays off. Good luck in the world series. ;D
