1. When is the last time Dayton played a 5A team?  Was it last year against an Austin team?  Any before that?
The "official" voting ended Wednesday morning.
Reminds of a presidential election where tattered chads came into play.

Mister over-posting message board poster man....Here's to you mister overposting message board poster man.  You write the same thing over and over again and still no one cares. People make fun of you for being grammatically incorrect but you are undeterred.  Mister over posting message board poster man, this bud's for you.
 5. I'll take this one bmf... a. curb stomp b. how many receivers do you have returning?
 6.
Tyrone, y'all make sure you bring plenty of toilet paper for that poop! :D
I think everybody is going to pack crosby district champ sweatsuits for that very reason.
 7.
It's Mike Matthews, Jake graduated. Elkins returns a lot of guys at the skilled postitions, but Jordan Jolly was their main offensive weapon last year. Burkhalter is the real deal, he went down with an injury in Week 7 I believe and Elkins put WR Jolly at QB for most of the snaps. They have a pretty good O-line, a Pro style QB, and return to quality QB's so I expect their passing game to be pretty good. The question mark is Defense, I think Dayton makes more stops than Elkins.....All of the Ft. Bend schools are loaded with athletes, it's coaching that holds them back.
good post
 8. Where was all this "support everyone and work together" attitude this time last year???
 9. vote. back button. vote. back button.  And the counter just keeps counting.  I got bored and moved it 7 points all by myself. :)
 10. Yeah, I guess they don't think much of our football skills or toughness.
 11.
They're going to hook it up this Friday in Hardin. Has this game ever been played before??
Dunno, but the outcome will no doubt be a lasting factor in the way football is played in southeast texas for years to come.  I can't wait to see these two goliaths do battle.  Will there be video available of this momentous occasion?  If so, please reserve two copies for me.
 12. Talked to a guy I worked with who has a kid enrolled at FB Elkins.  He says the kids at Elkins think that they are going to beat Dayton pretty easily.  I really like that we scheduled some tough competition at the beginning of the season.  Heckuva litmus test.

 16.

I agree but I am also smart enough to realize that the "winner" will almost always put more stock in the "win" and the "loser" will almost always play up the fact that it wasn't a "real" game. The fact is, scrimmages come in many colors. I have been to some that were nothing more than co-practice sessions and I have been to others that were as close to a real game as you can get (full contact/rotation/special teams, etc.). I didn't see any this year so I can't say yeah or nay on the results. Just glad to see football is back!
Lufkin and WB will be like a game...refs, clock, score, no coaches on the field during game, play clock, links, BBQ sandwiches, you name it....come out and see this practice, Saturday 3 pm Durley Stadium.
I will be on the sidelines for this one. SgtRey, bring me a chipped beef sandwich please. (btw, no team will win or lose this one either) ;D
The only loser here is grammar in the fight against double negatives.
 17. Link to some scrimmage video... [Hidden Content] prepare to get rick-rolled.
 18. ...or if you are a 20-4a varsity team that gets outclassed by the 9th and 10th graders from a certain 19-4a school THEN you lose a scrimmage.
 19.
Juan Carranco 6 WOS 0-that sound better using a soph.kicker.It's a good thing for a call back longgggg td run by Delasbour on a penalty and Stewart taking him out in the early 3rd as the mustang track champions had nobody close to catching him.Keep an eye on this junior.Dayton @ this point is well ahead of last years start.I'm so looking forward to the dist.opener w/BH and that crazy score posted 65-2 might be a reality just on the Eagles.
FYI...it's Juanito.  What kind of distance does he have in the leg this year?

 21. [Hidden Content] A little different than some of the others I've seen.
 22. It took me awhile to respond because I was laughing too hard at GCM thinking that Dayton would not put up 20 points on their stellar D.
 23. This is bullcorn, there is no way that Manatee Bradenton should be at 49.  They should atleast be at 44.
 24. 1.  Keep buying cracker jacks you'll get the ring.  ;D ;D ;D 2.  Crosby, definitely would've won state in DII.  So true Dayton, so true.  I love the way one win yields so much confidence.  I bet that Dayton tries to cancel the game with crosby because they are terrified to take the field.  In fact, Dayton is lucky to even be on the same field with a team with so much raw talent.  3.  Can somebody remind me what the record is when Dayton has played Crosby for the past ten years? Oh that's right, Dayton OWNS the cougars.
