To bad it is not at PNG this year, it is 80% chance of rain and thunderstorms saturday, kids might enjoy a mud fest.

That's a nice thought NDNfan but Coach Faircloth is on his way to bigger things in the near future, someday soon there will be an offer that is to good to pass up and Coach Faircloth will be gone. He is an EXELLENT coach and will not have to look for a job, but they will come calling, enjoy him while you have him because in a few seasons he will be gone.

Who's going to win the Purple Prize

I think PNG gets Dayton if Nederland gets in and Livingston gets in, that would make them D2-#2. I think PNG will surprise Dayton, PNG 's offense will test Dayton's defense. -
STJFL Senior 2nd Round Predictions?
football04 replied to BCFAN13's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Last year Nederland Black was in the #3 spot behind Lum. Blue and Lum. White, Lum. Blue had already beaten Ned. Black 28-19? and Lum. White had also beaten Black 29-16?, both scores made the games appear some what close but they were not, both Lum. teams had won soundly. Nederland Black came back to beat both teams, Blue in the semi's 34-6 and White 26-6 to win their 2nd straight superbowl title, and beat both soundly, anything can happen. If Black played each team 10 times I think Lumberton(both) would win more than they lost, but it's about rising up for the challenge, Can we win today. These teams are close enough in tallent (BC,PNG,WOS,Lum) that the team that really is better prepared to play this saturday will win. -
STJFL Senior 2nd Round Predictions?

BC, PNG -
Green is the most gifted of the bunch, but it is a good group of QB's. I wonder how the coaches will vote at the end of the season for MVP, Offensive mvp and 1st team QB, that's 3 spots, Green and Doty get 2 IMO, who would get the 3rd.

What about Bridge City vs Nederland White and PNG Purple vs Lumberton White
-
Not yet, depends on what happens this week.

Looks like I may have to rethink that Ned Black over WOS in the 1st round.

The next 2 weeks will be very interesting in 20-4A!!!

Central 5-0 Lumberton, @ PNG 7-0 Livingston 3-2 @ LCM , Vidor 4-3 Nederland 2-3 @ Ozen, LCM 4-3 PNG 3-2 @Vidor, Central 4-3 LCM 3-2 Livingston, @ Nederland 4-3 -
Good for Nederland to get the win , but this game should have been over in the 2nd quarter. after going up 21-0 the Bulldog offense got ragged from a playcalling stand piont and lacked any real spark. What should have been a 28-0 halftime score turned into a 21-7 lead real quick. The wildcat was working I don't understand why we can't stay in it longer, we run 2 plays and get good yardage then throw 3 incomplete passes and miss a field goal, when we should have been running the ball and the clock, We have yet to play 48 min like we did against PNG, If we do, we would have beat Central and Livingston and blown out an unimpressive Lumberton team. From about the 3min mark of the 2nd quarter till Sonnier iced the game, Nederland was out played, and it shouldn't have close.

I agree Basebow, they are not getting thier moneys worth out of Trevin, he needs alot more touches, catches or runs or returns and really needs to be on defense alot more anyway, he can play bothways and rest during basketball season. Unless they pick him as a utility player for all district I don't know if he makes it because he hasn't had enough plays in one spot to be all district at any of them, I thought going into the season he would be 1st team rec. but he needs more catches, we need Trevin to have 100 yds a game min. I personally would like to see him in the backfield with Dionte, catching screens , running between the tackles, wheel routes out of the backfield, he's a hard guy to shut down if you use him creatively, he needs 15-20 touches a game min.

20-4A..Who's got the toughest remaining schedule?
football04 replied to Tim Riggins's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Right now region 3 is controlled by the likes of Brenham, Dayton and Friendswood and I don't see anyone in our district beating these teams right now, but whoever comes out of our district will give anyone else a run for their money. I would put 20-4A against any district in the state on a top to bottom matchup, our #1 may not beat their #1, but we will win more games than the other district, let Ozen go play anyone in any other district right now that hasn't won a district game and I bet it is a blowout. -

football04 replied to Tim Riggins's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Vidor has Central and PNG @ home and finishes @ Livingston, LCM is @ PNG, Livingston and @ Nederland Vidor has the toughest schedule remaining, followed by LCM I think Nederland wins out and PNG wins 2 out three there is not a more balanced district in the state, top to bottom everyone is within a TD of each other -

Ned. Black beats Little Cypress (6-0) to claim the 4th play off spot.
-
What about Nederland Black @ Little Cypress, this game will determine the 4th playoff spot. If Nederland wins they will play WOS 2weeks in a row, last game of the regular season and 1st round of the playoffs.
