We didn't dominate Seniors like yall did Juniors, but we had a scrappy bunch that refused to quit and after losing twice in the regular season they cameback strong in the play offs and started hitting people. We gave up 8 td's to lumberton (both teams) in the regular season and only scored 5, but in the play offs we scored 9 and gave 3. Sounds like WOS will be seeking a Senior Title next year, good luck to yall next season.

Nederland Senior Black won 26-6. Senior Black took the opening kick off and went down the field and scored, kicked the extra point and lead 8-0 1st qtr. Lumberton scored in the 2nd qtr to make it 8-6 and Nederland answered to go up 14-6 at the half. Lumberton received to start the second half and ate up almost 8 min of the 3rd qtr, but only went about 30 yds, Ned took over and went around 75 yds in 2 min and was at the 1 when the 3rd qtr ended, scored to start the 4th and go up 20-6. Nederland picked off a pass with about 3 min to go, ran it back to the 7 yd line and scored again to make it 26-6. Didn't realize how little Nederland had the ball in the second half til I saw the Video, One scoring drive (5-6 plays) end of the 3rd start of the 4th ,3 plays and punt with 5 min to play and 3 plays to score after int. After losing to both Lumberton teams in the regular season Nederland came back to defeat both teams back to back 36-12(Blue) and 26-6(White) to win their 2nd straight title.

You don't know that and there is no way to prove it. Head to head PNG might beat Westbrook.

 Troy runs a tight ship and it has been a pleasure to work with him the last 2 years winning back to back Titles, If anyone deserves to go out Two Time Super Bowl Champion it's Troy, his defense won the 08 title and defense won the second one as well.  

   Nederland Senior Black       26    Lumberton Senior White       6          Senior Black will enter next season as 2 time defending Super Bowl Champion.    I hope the kid from Lum is ok, great player and a tough kid, took one hell of a shot from the backside attempting to pass late in the game.

  No that's not smack taking Lum White (pwee) over WOS, but there where some comments about running the clock, but I don't think they came from Lumberton.     Why are you rooting for Purple, scared of White or just would rather play Purple for some other reason, I assume if you think you can beat WOS you think you can beat PNG White and what about the other divisions Juniors & Seniors, venture outside your division.    Going to be some great games Saturday from 9am till it ends around 9pm.  By the way  good luck to your PeeWee Raiders

You know I'm not sure what's up with that, I thought Kountze was in and then on the STJFL web site they have PNG Purple, I don't know if the records are listed wrong or if Kountze dropped out, I'll find out tomorrow.

After reviewing the scores from this weekend I think the playoff brackets will be as follows. Division 1 has a 3 way tie for 2nd, but points allowed would favor WOS (76), Vidor (79) and then Kountze (74 without the Lum. Blue game). We will find out for sure later today. #1. Lum. Nederland didn't win an out right district title, they did tie for a couple, I think one was 1999 with the lose coming at PNG? and in 2004 with a 3 point lose at Ozen. Michael you always go back to 2004 and say we started losing then, We tied for the District Title, lost to a good Jacksonville team in the 2nd round by 3, and didn't lose a game all year by more than 3, 4 loses by 11 total points. Our offense was #1 in district and our defense was #1 in district.

I don't know if the Superbowl is set just yet, I'm hearing Nederland's Bulldog Stadium, what a mud hole, or maybe PNG's new all weather surface, guess which one I'm pulling for.

Brubaker you are wrong on this one, nobody is taught to run for the sidelines in high school to stay healthy. Smaller quicker backs are taught to cut back against the grain, that's how the big gains are made, you ever watch Ryan Butler or Dustin Driskell play?

Last year both 2nd place teams made it to the superbowl.
