Who wins in these pre mcm matchups?

That's great for the stjfl, wish that would have been around I was in the league, good luck to ya'll.

You may not be without the next few years, but we feel very confident in what is coming up, as you obviously do.

The thing with Lumberton is they are consistant, unless things have changed recently, they have the same senior coaches year in and year out, that makes a huge difference. They play hard nosed football with a solid defense and strong running game. I was only in the league a few years, but both Lumberton teams were at the top and played in several superbowls, just couldn't get over the hump. Nederland Black beat Lumberton White in 08 & 09 superbowls and they were tough. I think Lumberton has a fantastic youth football program and I know in seniors it goes back to coaching. They are not always unbeatable, but you knew you had to pack your lunch for a game with Lumberton, Blue or White.

Unless it's something new this year, in the stjfl the superbowl is it. Pop Warner plays into a state playoff system and I think the league Port Arthur plays in may as well. STJFL has playoffs leading to the superbowl and has some all star games in between superbowl games, after that Mid County has a PNG vs Nederland all star game, but I don't think there are state playoffs in the stjfl. I could be wrong if it is something new.

I'll be shocked if Central scores more than 14, nothing against Central, I just think Vidor is that good at controlling the game and playing defense.

What is Faircloth's record against Neumann? I think it is 1-2 and after friday it will be 1-3 and next year it will be 1-4 and the year after that it will be 1-5 and after that 1-6, after that I don't know. That doesn't mean ya'll will not make the playoffs, but from the seniors to the freshmen they have owned png.

Vidor has thrown 10 times with 9 completions and 8td's, better not sleep on pirates passing game they will make you pay.  Plus or minus 3 points on those stats.    Seriously Vidor was much better throwing than I thought they would be.

Dam, bamakid lighten up, my eyes hurt after reading all of that, didn't someone say it was MCM this week, and yes I am well aware of where Mr. Faircloth came from and the fresh air he gave up to do so.  Athletes run in cycles and the Indians will get back on track, just not this week.

[/quote] your giving your town way to much credit, to most people outside of southeast texas it stinks around here, and while your facilities are nice by southeast texas standards, there are lots of places with better facilities than png, there are alot of places Faircloth would go besides Lake Travis or Southlake. That purple haze is clouding your thoughts.

[/quote] Offensively we have the talent, the only problem is that we have not had the same O-Line start for more than two weeks. Until we get healthy and get some consistency on the line we are not playing our best football. It all starts with the line, if you have a good one you can go places, if you don't then you struggle like we are right now. It is real hard to open up your offense or throw the deep routs when your QB is trying to out run the defense! Get the offense health and I think you will start seeing a different team. The one thing the coaches need to work on is getting the play in quicker. The players practice all week for the game but they must not work on getting the play called because we run the clock down to 5 seconds most of the time before we get set to run the play. And a few times we have had to call time-out because we couldn't get the play in. [/quote] Alot of our plays seem to take time to develope, I'd like to see more quick hitting pass plays going north and south instead of sideways. The old TE dump, slants and seem rt's, get the ball to Barrow, Shaw and Kimler in the 5-7 yd range going up the field, this will take some pressure off the line. Our line has been plagued with injuries all year, I hope they hit thier stride come play off time and week 11 will be huge this year.

Here's a look ahead to week 4    The Ozen - LCM game is huge and probably for the 4th spot, I think it will be a great game but I think Ozen takes it. Nederland  4 - 0 Vidor          3 - 1 Livingston  3 - 1 Ozen          2 - 2 Central      2 - 2 LCM          1 - 3 PNG          1 - 3 Lumberton  0 - 4

I've seen these comments for several years about holding back and saving offense for the future, and it never seems to come. Offense needs to get into a rhythem and be more consistant, we put some drives together but seem to do alot of sputtering. I know we need Washington on the line, but what a weapon at TE, this would be my go to guy on 3rd downs, fake the dive and hit him an stride right behind LB's and what safety is going want a piece of that more than once.

Vidor by alot, that runing game is tough and Vidor plays defense.
