2.
Underclassmen dont know and dont show their abilities until a few games under their belt. (When they know how good they are.) Being a Trojan fan, I'm glad we are playing a Kirbyville team that is a bit green. I would not want to play them right before district. Almost had a heart attack in the freezing cold last year.
LOL...yeah i have to give yall heads up in this round. I'll say Coldspring by a couple scores.
 3. Coldspring is more likely ahead of Kirbyville at this point. I dont think we will actually start peaking until district starts, prove me wrong...lets go Cats!!
 4.
If you'll will look, Coldspring is the smallest school in our district, you have never heard us cry about it, never will. going thru growing pains is what happens after you lose a big senior class, we have this problem this year also, I dont expect Kville to come out and just lay down for anyone, lotta pride and good players over there, I wish them luck in what looks to be a pretty tough district, hopefully  we'll see ya'll in the playoffs again this year.
Thanks Trojanfan :)
 5.
No offense to any of you Kirbyville fans (I am one myself) but I have seen them scrimmage both times and unless you watch them please dont set yourselves up for a serving of crow Kirbyville is rebuilding with an almost all around new look coaching staff i dont think they will compete with the better schools like WO-S or Coldsprings this year just saying
I agree way too young.... didnt realize how much talent we lost.
 6.
Coldspring is one of the top ranked teams in the state and will stay that way the entire season.  Yeah our track record against Kirbyville ain't strong, but who cares.  Those games played last year or four years ago don't mean crap come Friday.  Not sure what Kirbyville has back, but I know y'all lost a lot more than us including your coach.  I think it will be a learning year for y'all with ups and downs.  I think we should beat y'all.
Yall record against Kirbyville not good at all. Coldspring beat Kirbyville for the first time EVER last season in the playoffs. I agree with you come friday, Coldspring has a big advantage much as i hate to say but anything can happen. Kirbyville have way to many sophmores and freshmans starting so yall probably will beat us considering a rebuilding year. We lost one of our speed backs due to moved to Nacogdoches.
 7.
Kville will get beat. bad. after seeing what i saw against ozen and silsbee they will not beat coldspring.
They will be ok....yeah they are down, but will play with some heart.
 8.

I for one thought kville had a chance to get to state, barring a collapse versus WO-S in the playoffs. But with the transfers and injury bug it's gonna be extremely tough.
WOW really???? They don't have that many injuries.... Its not like every starter they have are out or something.. I knew they were not gonna be very good I watched this team play since jr high.. Coach Alverez new what he was doing by leaving when he did.. If the community ever decides to run good ole Neece off we will take him in Newton as our OC for sure... ;D
Enjoy Eaglefan01 because it wont be long before we be back on top :)
 9. They will improve and get better, and Ozen is going to be a little better than most expect....
Kirbyville is way down right now thats the reason Ozen dominated Kirbyville in the scrimmage. Last year Kirbyville dominated Ozen the same way.
Last year, there was a 1 score difference.  I heard that it was an even match last year.
Not really, Kirbyville will be better next season...they are in a rebuilding stage. I believe the underclassman beat Ozen.

 11.
I don't know how true this is, but I heard that Ozen Completly dominated Kirbyville on both sides of the ball.
Kirbyville is down this year :(
 12.
My hope all along is that if they are going to "run a little more" (as Coach T proclaimed early on) is that they would still employ the spread formation to do it.  Our speed and skill positions are still our greatest assets, so let's use them...whether it's in the spread with more running plays or using the Pistol position or both.  It's still early and they are experimenting with this.  When they eventually get settled in, I just can't see the power-I as the meat and potatoes of our game plan on offense.
That I formation wont work against Kirbyville....yall better off running the spread ;D
 13.
When is the scrimmage tomorrow?
Yea its 2morrow...starts @10am
 14.
Stopped by and watched a little of the practice....Saw a little old and a few new wrinkles...Got a couple of run plays I think will get a lot of attention, O Line looking better every day...Lot of ball handling going on...Looking Good Tho.. ;)
Kirbyville will be solid this year, but i think next year is where the Cats get back to the big dance ;)
 15.
there's no doubt in our mind that we will make it back to the state championship, but only this time were going to hope that we leave Dallas Stadium with an "W". The offensive line will provide enough for sherman Gilbert and Alfred Scott to work with. They're all big and very aggressive. The defense will be even more dominant than last years with the MLB kedrick Harrison returning and DT Chance Andries. We"ll have plenty to work with, great supporting cast on both sides of the ball. ;)
Well when you got teams like Kirbyville, Wos, BC in the way its tough for the Trojans.
 16.
I'm also going to predict Kirbyville will beat WOS in the preseason, with what Should be the third year in a row.
Should be a good game....just hope the oline put up a strong showing.
 17. Wos certainly have their work cut out for them and they should know this by now. This is their 6th or 7th year in 3a classification. I look for the Stangs to prevail but when you have teams like, Kirbyville, BC, Coldspring, Silsbee, Jasper in the area capable of beating you its tough. Playoffs wont get any easier when you have teams like Gilmer, Carthage, Waco Lavega and the local teams i mentioned in the hunt ready for rematches.
 18.

BC has a good team with an outstanding QB. I feel like if you stop him they're done. I watched this kid last year against Kirbyville and i believe the cats underestimated him. We didn't adjust to his style of play until like the begining of the 4th qtr and thats when our defense really pressured Menard and Quentin Jacko picked him off several times.
BC will have alot of tallent on offense, with menard and clark returning in the backfield they will have an awsome run game and also having dishon at wideout to throw to im sure kirbyville will have there hands full.
Yea Dishon is an elite player.....what kind of defense the cardinals will have? No doubt it will be a good game but Kirbyville got that speed everywhere and Menard is one of them Tim Tebow type QB. ;)

 20. @Setxfootball....why shouldn't i be?? I mean we're young but still......BC gonna get that hat brought to them. It sound like they overlooking the rest of they schedule and highly concentrating on just WOS.
 21.
Coach Thompson is the rock that has always held the Mustangs together, so no problem with that change. Also give Menard ups for what he said but with WOS winning program talk is just that talk..
Like i said earlier they play Kirbyville first and we gonna see if they can get 31 points this year.
 22. I look for Kirbyville to surprise folks again....talent have never been a problem down here. The defense gonna be nasty and once the oline and passing game come together....them cats gonna be something else. Coach Neece is doing a great job working with them kids and they looking well conditioned. It amazes me when small towns like Newton and Kirbyille can compete with just about anybody in the area. Burman Irvine would have been a special player this year and i hate he had to move, but Kirbyville will be just fine and im wishing my cats and everybody else in the area good luck except against us...LOL
 23. BC better worry about Kirbyville as well.....they play them first and its gonna be a dandy one.
