]Not doubting ... just stating facts ... and the only reason EC was district champs was because Kirbyville played with bigger boys of 3A ... If we were down in 2A last year ... EC would have been fighting for second in district ... EC would not even sniffed a win against Kirbyville ... And when we go back down to 2A .. and we should ... EC (who by the way seems to be looking for a coach also) will be fighting for third in district (behind Newton and Kirbyville).
You are ignoring facts. How do you KNOW EC "couldn't have sniffed a win" against KV? Be advised, Newton (the team you say would challenge KV for the DC), used to think the EXACT same thing ended up in third place. And you claim 2A Champion EC can only "fight for third"? Thats not just flawed logic, thats outright disrespect.
No disrepect...you guys have a pretty good program, but no way yall could have beaten us last year. If we make another drop down in classification, Kirbyville will be loaded AGAIN! The future looks bright for the Wildcats when it comes to football. Like somebody said earlier, we might have a rough transition early in the upcoming season, but once Coach Neece settles in.......LOOKOUT!!
 3.
I think the WOS coaching change was political from the fan stand point.  Coach Thompson ending up as head coach means a very smooth transition for the WOS players.  He has long been the backbone of the program and that is why there was such an outrcry at even the hint that he might not get the AD/HC position.  I think WOS will hold their own against Kville.  I was proud of their effort last year and think the scoreboard will reflect a different outcome this year.  I wish the best for all three programs and hope the transition is smooth for the players sake.
Should be a good one....Kirbyville have alot of talent.....like i said earlier, we had a bunch of jv players hanging around on varsity last season and now its time for them to step up and take care of business. We are so deep at the running back position until it aint even funny. Lafredrick will be miss, but i can promise you we still have boys that flat out FLY! I cant wait for the season to start.....DANG!!
 4.
Kirbyville's coaching situation is a lot more unstable than WOS. Kirbyville may have some talent returning, but someone has to coach these kids into a cohesive unit. WOS has the upper hand there. First Quarterback Club meeting of the year tomorrow in Newton with WT giving an outlook. I don't believe Kirbyville's defense will be as strong without WT.
No doubt about the talent....First QB club meeting?? Haywood already practicing for the upcoming season. Our offensive line is bigger than last season my friend. Defense will come around....trust me! The word on the street is that when WT heard Keandre Haywood was playing QB this up coming season.....he was gonna stack the line and blitz all game. We have three good receivers thats gonna surprise them Newton Eagles  ;)
 5. ;D

Brownwood by 7  :D
are you crazy?  no way Kirbyville can stay within 7 of Brownwood.  Brownwood 165 Kville -14
;D ;D ;D ....man u crazy!
 6.
Brownwood by 7  :D
LOL....get outta here with that! Kirbyville have alot of talent...most of their JV players were hanging around getting varsity experience last year. We'll see what happens....everybody think cause Coach Alvarez gone we're gonna be down. Coach Neece been our offensive coordinator since 2005 so nothing will change....same thing you see every year, hard running backs and a defense that will hit you in the mouth!
 7.
WOS no doubt
I feel ya....I'll be looking for you after this game is played :)
 8.
Boy, football can't begin early enough for some folks, yet. Huh? LOL!
You got that right, im expecting another good game between these two programs.
 9.
Ford and Alverez is gone.  WO-S in a rout.  31-14.
Rout huh? LOL.....give me a break, you don't believe that yourself! Kirbyville will have 3 or 4 speedy backs to deal with this year my friend.
 10. I've read all these post about WOS suppose to be the team to beat this coming up season. With that being said, what are yall predictions on this game considering both teams will have some SPEED at the running back position and good defenses? I'm hearing the Stangs are playing under the center this year.
 11. Defense should be solid with Ted Williams back in the Kirbyville.
 12.
Gilbert put up 235 against Kville and 165 against Carthage. He doesn't have great track speed, but on a football field he can go like no other.
Yes he can...i give credit where its due. Throw them stats out the window, i talk to some of the players from Kville and they said they cant wait to play Coldspring this season. :o
 13.
Sherman Gilbert
Sherman Gilbert is a solid running back, but Kirbyville has three stud backs in Berman Irvine , Quentin Jacko and Decorian Smith. These young men will be something else this coming up season.
 14.
I agree.  I think you will see limited amount of the spread and more of same (wing t).  I am glad to see Coach Williams back in Kville as the DC.  He is a young very motivating coach.
I agree....looking forward to a pretty good season.
 15.
They are going to the spread offense with Haywood at the QB position. We should be ok with Quentin Jacko, Decorian Smith and some more key players in the backfield. I think this young Kirbyville team have alot of potential to be dangerous!!! I wonder will they change Haywood jersey number. I think he was #3 last season. He ran the ball well against Newton and Coldspring (first meeting) and will be something to watch at the QB position this season.
Yo Dog!  Dey ain't gonna to da spread...  same offense with some new wrinkles Yo....  a little spread here and der main...  heard they getting some top notch coaches too dog....  Ted Williams to be DC... snatched him from Jasper....  Mike Broussard from Anahuac....  Jerry Stapert as head basketball coach...  Things lookin good holmes over in da Ville! Hickory Dickory Dock....
Oh ok...appreciate that homie. Sounds great and the talent is still there, they will just have to put it together.

 17. I believe Coach Neece will run the Wildcat or spread formation this season along with that Wing T.
 18.
w're gunna need a stout defense with this young of a team.....Lil' Will, Jacko ;)
Kirbyville should be just fine....i know there is lots of talent in the 7th and 8th grade as well.
 19.

don't forget about ..Tatum, Godley, EC, Newton, and Anauhac
I would want no part of Tatum
Yeah Tatum something else....they beat Gilmer last season right?? I cant forget about Arp and Crockett who is now 2A. Silsbee best bet is to stay 3A.
 20.
don't forget about ..Tatum, Godley, EC, Newton, and Anauhac
You got that right! All of the above are teams capable of beating anyone real quick! It wouldn't get any easier for the Tigers. Im not being negative, but its the truth.
 21.
I think the board made a good choice....I believe Coach Neece will make Kirbyville more competitive in all sports...Congrats Coach Neece..
I agree.
 22.
Was told by an administrator last night that Silsbee's current enrollment is 769. That's down from the 843 turned in for realignment in Oct. '09. This pace, Silsbee could be 2A in 6 years. ;) ;D
It would be interesting to see yall play 2a teams like Dangerfield, Cameron Yoe, Muleshoe, Pilot Point, Marlin and the list go on. ;D
 23.
What they going to do on defense with WT back at home in Newton and Coach Vanya gone with Alverez?
i know they wont have a problem putting points up....but yeah good question Eaglefan01.
 24. Haywood, Irvine, Brooks and Smith will be the four headed monster this coming up season. With haywood playing qb...things will get interesting. Kirbyville have alot of talent coming up in the 7th and 8th grade as well...watch out! By the way congrads Coach Neece....shouldn't miss a beat especially on offense.
 25.
I am getting info as to who got the job but will wait to confirm with a good source. ;D
Say Lefty hit me up on a message on what info you got so far.
