Both teams will get better as the season progresses. Our offense is out of sync and everybody that was there for sure know this......oh well, here come them Newton Eagles!

Oh well, maybe it will open doors for a couple of underclassman to step up.

Kirbyville may be thin be thin in depth and missing some key starters due to disciplinary problems, but we're gonna be just fine against a solid Coldspring team . We will be battle tested, but so will Coldspring. I'll say Kirbyville by 3 or more points.

Newton will be tough as nails like always, it should be another solid match up against the Wildcats. Two outstanding Rbs Lafredrick Ford and Kevin Bennett. The Wildcats line up in a different defensive scheme that is solid as ever this year.

We have two more backs that are quick as well so look out! Coach Alvarez is toughing up the offensive line right now considering we lost alot of key players to graduation and some maybe returning when district starts due to discipline problems. I sure hope they get their attitude together because they are solid players.

We may be lacking in depth this year (30 players on varsity i do believe) but the Wildcats will be ready to challenge the Panthers.

2A or 3A...it doesn't matter. Kirbyville will prove once again how strong their program have gotten since those terrible years in the 90's. You will have to play your "A" game this year if you talking about defeating my Wildcats and thats a fact.
