1. I remember a lot of people on this board were calling for coach Stewart to get off the sidelines and not be involved. This is what happens. Be careful what you wish for.
 2. It doesn't take a genius to figure out what's missing.
 3.
Hmmmm ..... Dayton posters haven't spoke a word about this, but Chron.Com did (although, some of us have known for the last month or so) ..... [Hidden Content]
Well I know who to talk to if I need to know the inside scoop.
 4.
if i remeber correctly png killed us first half but come second half we dominated but started a little to late
That sounds like a loss where I come from.  There's nothing worse than somebody talking about moral victories.

 6. Yep.  Worthless.
 7. I'd say the best tradition is Crosby losing to Dayton followed by the Hill being for real.
 8. The first game I remember was Dayton's 85 playoff game against PA Lincoln.  The first time I remember having a vested interest in a game was 89 watching Ivory Durio.  Still the best player ever in Dayton.
 9.
Who is arguing that football is not king? and wasnt beating my chest or anyone elses about success in other sports...once again...just pointing out why so many Dayton (non-football) parents are unhappy with the overall athletic program.  It was a response to the Dayton poster saying "Nobody cares about..." other sports/activities.  Truth hurts so much that you cant seem follow the thread ? lol.
I'm not having a hard time following anything.  BHFan's little comment was a stab at Dayton, while patting yourselves on the back.  However, whether you want to admit it or not, outside of the parents and coaches of the other sports, nobody really cares.  Like I said before, just look at the attendance.  Dayton struggles at a lot of the other sports, but I'd rather be successful in football than cross country.  Speaking of cross country, how many meets did you attend this year?  I'm guessing zero.  How many football games did you attend?  Ok case closed.  Now that we've gotten that out of the way, and since we're on a football board, let's talk some football.  I'd like to start with 54-0.  Drink it in.  It always goes down smooth.

Actually mediocrity might be a step up from 54-0.
Wow, that took a "weak" for a response.  Nobody is hanging on to secondary sports, just pointing out the typical Dayton poster's rationale that only football matters (to excuse their lack of competiveness in ever other sport), which is kinda sad...The envy continues..... ;D
If you choose to believe that football isn't king in Texas, go ahead.    All you have to do is look at the attendance.  When is the last time you saw 12000 people at a girls basketball game?  I'd be willing to bet most non football teams don't have 12000 people attend their games in  an entire season.    I understand your need to beat your chest about other sports because your school is garbage in the one sport that truly matters.  Deep down you know you'd trade the success of your school's other sports for a portion of the success Dayton has had recently in football.  That 54-0 beat down is making some of you bitter and jealous.

 14. Out of the 22 linebackers at the camp, Cole had the lowest SPARQ score.  He ran a 5.0 forty and did poorly in the other tests.  It was a bad showing all the way around, but none of that matters when the pads are on.
