Boy do we know that all to well at the HILL!  ;) Thank you Stewart and Flannigan! There is NO chance that Crosby will NOT win district this year.  Merka is an equalizer and they have a fairly deep running game.  I don't like them anymore than anyone else, but it's a fact.  Get the Hot Dogs ready! Crosby Dayton BH GCM Lee NF CE King etc.....
So let me get this straight BH89.  You haven't posted on this thread in 3 weeks, most likely due to a self-imposed exile, because of the humiliation of making homo erotic bets with other men.  Now you make your triumphant return guaranteeing a district title for a school other than your own, and talking about hot dogs again?  I'm not sure what's more disturbing.  Your obvious lack of understanding of football, or your obsession with hot dogs.
Dear Frazier, You are so correct, my lack of time to evaluate circumstances better has caused me to error, which could be misinterpreted as not understanding football (or good smack for that matter).  While you were standing on the corner holding that 2x2 cardboard sign I was gianfully employed and even spent some time fishing.  As for hot dogs.....I don't mean to point our the obvious, but you do realize your own self-imposed name on this board is "[glow=red,2,300]Downgoesfrazier[/glow]", right?  Here Frazier, her boy, come get your hot dog.   ;D ;D ;D   Revised for Frazier BH Crosby Dayton GCM Lee NF King See ya in 3 more weeks!
I know you're not the smartest guy ever, but you do realize that my screen name would only be insulting to me if my name were actually Frazier, don't you?  And for the record there's no misinterpretation about your knowledge of football.  If you think BH will win the district and Dayton finishes third,  you're either high or lack basic football knowledge.  As for your gainful employment goes, what are you going to do when the turnaround at the plant ends?  I hear that DQ on 146 is hiring lettuce washers and a fry tech. I'm glad to see that you got a little time for some fishing.  I'm sure you caught your limit of zipper fish and one eyed trouser trout.  I'm pretty sure you have no interest in actually betting because you and I both know that BH has no chance of beating Dayton.  Your hot dog bets have been just a thinly veiled attempt at picking up dudes on the internet.  But if you'd like to make a real bet I've got one for you.  How about $1000 Dayton vs. BH.  Not some internet BS bet, but we meet prior to the game cash in hand.  I know you can afford it.  You're from BH, so you must be rich.  I have no interest in your money, because panhandling in Austin can be quite lucrative. So the loser gives a grand to the winners booster club.  You in?  Yes or no?  Remove that hot dog and put your money where your mouth is.
 2.
Really not trying to stir the pot here, BUT, how does Merka compare to Dayton's former QB Green?  They are both about the same size, they both were ranked similarly as dual threats nationally, both are  D-1 talents, just seems like an interesting parallel.  I don't want this to turn into people talking a lot of chit, but both of these kids are talented.  Just curious about how you guys would compare the two?
I wouldn't compare the two but since you asked.  Merka isn't in the same league as Cody Green.  They are similar in size, but Cody is a better athlete and has a better arm.  Merka in 13 games last year: 1320 Yards Passing, 10 td's, 5 int's 1009 Yards Rushing, 9 td's Green in 15 games as a senior: 3265 Yards Passing 35 td's, 4 int's 1610 Yards Rushing 25 td's Merka has a long way to go his senior to get anywhere close to 5000 yards and 60 Td's.
 3. Brenhamfan, with that talent Brenham has coming back, anything less than a championship should be a disappointment for yall.  Do you think Brown ends up at UT?

Once he improves his foot work, he is going to be a very good QB.  He will likely be a Div-1 talent.  He has the size and arm, just needs to clean up in a few areas. BH has some size on the line this year and the whole run game is based on mis-direction.  Liberty Hill ran a similiar style offence very effectivly with smaller and slower talent.  If you don't turn the ball over and you run theball effectively, what does it matter if the other team runs the spread or not?  You must have possession of the ball to score, right?   As for Dayton winning District, NOT GOING TO HAPPEN.  Crosby is the team to beat.
Crosby beats Dayton for the first time in a decade and all of the sudden they are the team to beat?  Give me a break.  There's a better chance that BH doesn't make the playoffs.   "BH has some size on the line this year and the whole run game is based on mis-direction"   - Well if you've got size AND you're using mis direction we shouldn't even show up.  I hope Coach Stewart has heard of this mis direction thing you speak of.  There's been a lot of teams that run an offense similar to BH's that have been sent home with stat lines that read 42 carries for 67 yards against Dayton.   " Liberty Hill ran a similiar style offence very effectivly with smaller and slower talent." - first of all offense is spelled with an s and not a c.  Secondly Liberty Hill did run a similar offense with "smaller and slower talent"  than BH. NEWSFLASH they were also playing smaller and slower talent.  That "offence" is going to get abused by a team like Dayton. "If you don't turn the ball over and you run the ball effectively"  -  Those are big ifs, but thanks for stating the obvious.  You should start a whole series of obvious observations.  Something like, the team that scores the most points wins.  But in relation to your statement, I could also say that if you turn the ball over or go 3 and out a time or two Dayton is up 28-0. Then you're playing come from behind with an offense that isn't designed to score quickly. "what does it matter if the other team runs the spread or not?" - It will matter because when you get behind a team like Dayton that can score in bunches, your ball control offense won't be able to bring you back, but maybe BH will be that one team that won't "turn the ball over and run the ball effectively" against Dayton.
So what your really saying is you are a Dayton fan......... ;D ;D  Man someone needs to get back down in the river bottom and run his throw-lines...... ;D ;D  Bet ya a hot dog Crosby beats Dayton and Dayton ends up in thrid place this year.
I'm actually saying several things in that statement.   First, Ronnie Gage's BS offense isn't going to do anything against a real defense. Secondly, you're great at stating the obvious.  And lastly, your inability to spell basic words, given your Barbers Hill education is pathetic. Also, I'm not aware of any "river bottoms" in Austin and I haven't a clue what a throw line is.   As far as your hot dog bet goes, why are you making an internet bet with another man about putting phallic shaped meat in your mouth?  I guess that's how yall roll on "The Hill."

 10.
it is questionable if dayton will win the district, but it is more questionable that bh will finish in the top 4.
As long as Jerry Stewart is there, there's no question where Dayton will finish, but if BH and Gage finish and make the playoffs we will all be surprised.
 11. Dayton vs Brenham 2009.  Dayton led by 10  with 7 minutes to play.  One fumble cost Dayton a state championship. Tivy would have gotten theirs and there's no doubt that Dayton would have beaten Aledo.  lAledo's offense played into what Dayton did defesnsively.  The two best teams were Brenham and Dayton in my opinion.
 12.
:D quick take my temp. I think i'm getting the football fever. And it's only May...  :o
It's nothing that can't be cured by another district title for Dayton and subsequent deep  playoff run.
 13.
I only have this comment about a Flexbone old school offense; You better have the whole package of good backs w/an awesome offensive line/def.line and score almost every possession to stay in the game vs.good spread team.
I can't wait to see Dayton shut down that offense.  Gage doesn't think much of Dayton's defensive scheme.  We'll see what he thinks after that game.
Really is that what it takes for you people from BH to feel special to always have a put down for people in Dayton. Just face it Dayton is great and BH well yall can't seem to get off the hill. Must be lack of oxygen up there *shrugs* ??? What is the statute of limitations for UIL investigations? for panamamyers...good thing u r n 4a so u don't have 2 worry about 5a competition...Lee will get beat by crosby, gcm, dayton, and possibly bh. Real talk,  19 4A will come down to Crosby and Dayton for the district championship. Tyrone's predictions....Lee will try to realign with a 3A district after getting smashed off in 19 4A(that's 4 u panama), Panama Myers will become the new crosby on the message boards this fall,  Dayton will be back in the state championship game within 4 years!
Tyrone, that's exactly who I'm talking about.  Roderick (as I know him) had a lot of names.  Roderick Edwards when we were kids, but went by Jermaine  (middle name) in Baytown.  Amey was his dad's last name, so he went by Roderick Amey until he went back to Baytown.  Kind of confusing, but that's how I remember it.
 16.
The point was that 4A is easier than 5A, much the same point I made a few months ago. I don't care to talk trash to any team specifically, as I am a Gander fan, and am in no position to talk trash to anyone. Lee has been down for a few years. The only point that I have made is that 5A is tougher than 4A, which was just re-emphasized for me in the fact that this appears like a tough schedule to a 4A team. To a 5A team, that is just a middle of the road schedule of teams to play.
I agree that 5a is tougher than 4a, just like 10 apples is more than 9 apples.  Thanks for stating the obvious.  However, unless Jermaine Alfred, Jermaine Edwards, Clint Stoerner, Haji Tommy, and Chris Thiery are suiting up for Lee next year, yall ain't beating Dayton.
