Some of you guys on here would criticize Jesus if he came down from Heaven to coach the cardinals and Lamar didn't win 30 games in his first year.  Roc is doing a heck of a job running the mens program. The wins haven't happen like most want, but a HECK OF A COACH is busting his butt to put a team on the court that the university and city can be proud of... How many team has Larry Brown coached that have had a losing record?  Lenny Wilkins, etc... does that mean they are awful coaches?

Awesome job by the ladies today.(It is great to have a few players not shoot particularly well and have too many turnovers, but still dominate.) Extra special touch by the players by signing autographs after the game... My daughter has her signed poster hanging above her bed and fell asleep after 30 minutes of staring at it!

Hj ended up winning by 15 or so.... very physical game! JV game... HJ won 49-9... JV is now 22-2 on the year and still undefeated in district

I heard all proceeds will be donated to Dove...  Paying for 2 sets of championship rings for the next 4 years will probably get expensive! ;D

I believe the guard Heard from WOS is a JR..... She is pretty darn good.

Nothing wrong with your post except the fact that it should be the head coaches decision to lift or not...  We all know that the AD makes decisions, but they should (And probably are) made with the coaches input.  As a track coach, it is great that you want your kids to lift..that is your decision.... would you feel the same if they were made to lift on the day of a meet?  (May not happen at EC, but it does at other places.) The whole thing is about who controls practice...the AD or the HC...you could replace any school for EC and the argument is still a good one.. -Mike

The game actually was poorly executed a lot of the time by the Lady Hawks...lack of focus, lack of execution, etc...  However, they are starting to put things together for longer stretches, but need to be consistent for 32 minutes.  With 5 games left, hopefully everything can be fine tuned in time for the start of the playoffs....

What does practicing softball during bball season have to do with lifting weights vs. using that time on the court?  You need no get so worked up over an OPINION on a message board.

If athletics doesn't count toward the total, that is more the reason to use that time on the court...  anyway... done with the issue... good luck to ec, hf, and all other schools doing this.......

Girls JV game cancelled due to WOS being unable to field a JV team.  This is the 2nd JV game cancelled so far... ???

WOS cancelled the girls JV game... for some reason as of now, the Varsity girls will start at 6:30 and the boys will follow.  Why they don't move the jv boys to pay in front of the girls or push the games a little earlier is a loss to me...

We can agree to disagree 8)..... Over the course of a basketball season, by going to the weight room for 30 minutes, 2 days a week, you are giving up an hour of court time per week... over the course of the season, that is almost 15 hours of practice!  Give me 15 extra hours of practice any day...  No one is saying that kids shouldn't lift.... They should not be made to lift at a time that is convienent for another sport.  Why couldn't they lift after practice???????? They may be stronger, but lifting afterwards will also make you stronger.  Not a wise decision to give up court time.....

maybe the woes are due to "universal offseason"... ;D ;)

Good old "Universal Offseason"..... ::)  [u]No matter how it is spun[/u].... it is done to keep football players lifting during the offseason... It just spills over to girl's sports as justification to boys players the "the girl's are doing it too.."   It is the coaches decision, but a questionable one for all non football sports involved.
