1. RIP to a GREAT man, father, coach, etc........ Coach Barbay was never afraid to "tell it like it is"... which is refreshing in this time of political correctness.  He will be greatly missed by all!
2. I know Kelly had a runningback hurt.... Prayers for a speedy recovery....
3. you gotta give him a chance first...... ;) I know they had problems with applicants because of the teaching field that was coupled with the basketball job...
4.
Huffman 28 - HJ 7

Huffman 35 - HJ 7  no contest.
what would you base this on???
5.
One of the best young ball players I have seen in years. What a loss for Lumberton and a tremendous gain for HF. This kid has everything to going for her. Is she great, ABSOLUTLEY! She will definitely be an asset to the HF program. Major colleges are scouting her and she is only in Jr. High School. I feel for the competition when she gets a couple more years under her belt.
Which major colleges are scouting her? ::)
6. It is NOT Knowles from Kelly.....
7. that would be a shock!!!!! Are you sure it is not his daughter?  If this is true, HF found a gem!!!!!
8. At this point in the year it will be hard to find a quality replacement... (not impossible, but hard)  Most people are already under contract for the upcoming year....
9. Coach Aguilar did a great job at Hamshire.....  He FOUGHT hard for the girls basketball program and was met with alot of resistance from the powers that be...  I wish him well in his future endeavors... Getting a quality replacement is going to be tough on July 20th....
10. i don't think that is the case... Tid  loves coaching..... however, if it is.... I would not be surprised to see asst. joey wells take the head job.
11.

Cleveland ISD’s AD resigns By JASON FOCHTMAN Updated: 06.17.10 Cleveland ISD Athletic Director Ricky Tullos has resigned. It was confirmed Thursday afternoon, June 16, via e-mail from Cleveland ISD Superintendent Kerry Cowart. “He is seeking a district that will give him the opportunity to maximize his leadership and coaching skills to their fullest,” Cowart said. Cowart added that the position is posted in the appropriate websites and that applications will be accepted through June 25, 2010. Interviews will be held June 28 – July 2. Calls to Tullos for further comments surrounding his departure were not returned.
HJ needs him
What is your beef with HJ?
12. Got to see the HJ Varsity take on the HJ JV tonight at Central....  The next few years should be something to see as the LAdy Hawks have a solid core returning with some flat out speed in next years 9th and 10th grade groups.
13. hj will have a different look next year...i can see them being ALOT deeper than they have been in the past.....  should be fun!
14. welcome to the "current" state of the NBA.  Sponsorships are placed every where thay can be put.  There are too many games.... this leads to lower attendance, and less effort (until crunch time) by the players.
15. After watching the SS for HF for the last few years, HF folks don't have alot of room to talk...
The kid on HJ that was talking garbage late in the game (I think his number was 5, I know what his name is but I won't say it) is a sorry excuse for a sportsman. I'm not just saying this because HF lost, but because there is no reason to conduct yourself in that manner on the diamond. If you were at the game you would know what I am talking about. I was disappointed by it.
16.
Hmmm... I wonder about this one.  No previous head coaching experience, 27 years old, never even been a position coach in TXHS Football.  Nothing higher than a graduate assistant at a few colleges.  Anyone who played college ball knows what grad assistants do...not much.  I would like to see the list of applicants.  Were there no other options or did the Barbay name give this guys a chance he wouldn't normally get?  Someone fill me in.
first off, I have worked with Kevin at Kelly when he was a "position Coach"  Warren has a great guy who will do the school, town and kids right! To imply that his qualifications are tainted is ridiculous.  You guys in Warren just got a good one!
17. My take is this...... make an all star team up from District Players (8-10 girls)....  Any MVP's, POY honors come from this list...  8-10 girls total... With that said... to be elgible for Academic All region, and other awards, etc, you have to be on 1st or second team... that is one of the reason why these lists keep getting bigger each year
18. Three teams???? Doesn't this kinda water down the process????  HAHAHA!!!  ;D  That is some serious talent!!!
19. TEAMS TO BE POSTED TONIGHT HJ ANAHUAC KELLY COLDSPRING BC HARDIN LIBERTY VARSITY BOYS VARSITY GIRLS JV BOYS
20. If it eases the argument..... here is the boys 20-4A all district..... There are 40 players named....  That is 8 full starting lineups!!! It makes our team look pretty selective......
