I agree with the numbers issue..... The problem is that the superlatives winners.... MVP, OFF POY, DEF POY, etc. are not included on the first team....Eliminate the Hon. Mention Category and there are still 15... (half of the district starters.) I was at this meeting, and can tell you that there was concern by several coaches to not water the process down....

Hemphill is well coached and athletic....I have seen them twice, one time they looked very good, one time they looked wild and out of control...... Ec will have to play well to win.

The calls never offset..... one ref just took the lead each time... As far as players and refs, captains can speak to officials, until the official says it is enough... I noticed that too by the way....

In all fairness, i thought the refs actually did a decent job.... a travel or a foul could have been called on nearly every single possession.... They called it when an advantage was gained for the most part.... That being said, I hate the use of a 3 man crew.... there were several instances where whistles blew and all 3 officials were signaling a different call.....the 3 man crew disrupts the flow of the game imo....

Post girl is a beast..... wings can shoot...and will knowing they have some rebounders....they ate us up on the low post in last years playoff game. I do know that their point guard is out due to medical/personal reasons.....

HJ #20 in 2A.... This kinda stuff is why I have always thought that ANY rankings before the end of the season are pointless and mean nothing. People vote on things that they have NO clue about....  I would venture to say that a 25-5 2A team with losses to ranked 4A teams and 5A teams would be ranked higher than #20... haha

A few things.... 1st...The game probably could have been 200-10... Kuddos to the Hardin Coach for taking it easy. 2nd.. several milburn players and the coach did not show up...I believe their AD came to coach them...  the 5 players that did play for milburn did their best. To slam either side for anything is ridiculous!

until 2012 when HJ hands over the reigns to HF..... haha

Impressive, yes.... but I gotta be a homer and go with Coach Davis from HJ....I don't have all the scores in front of me, but HJ had about 14-15 games this year decided by 4 to 7 points... and won all of them..... 25-5 and 10-0 in district, in a year where the district race was supposed to be anyones guess is pretty impressive.

He coached some girls games last year.... Don't read too much into this...

[/quote] How is this a bad thing?  To be honest I feel the HF coach did a pretty good job with the pieces in place (not to mention the forces he is trying to fight at HF...)  At least there is an evaluation of talent/skills and an effort to but the best plan in place to utilize that talent.... About the Jv and running the Varsity offense, The Varsity's offense is centered around thew PG (Cierra?)...There is not a player on the JV with similar skills at that spot...  Therefore he would be putting the JV in a bad spot expecting them to run the same type of system, without the same set of skills.... Give the guy some time.... I promise he knows what he is doing.  There is finally a coach in Longhorn land that has basketball as a priority and it seems like folks are trying to run him off because they don't agree with his style of play....
