Sharadan Priddy is the soph and she has done a fantastic job thus far..... The hawks are slowly getting better each game with different girls stepping up and making solid contributions.

Football brings in much more fans than basketball. When is the last time a basketball game brought in 14,000 fans for a game? Homecomings are during football, the pep rallies are during football, etc.... In Texas more people are fans of football than basketball. Look at this stat..... fans per participant.... Band, cheerleaders, trainers, coaches families, etc.... that is why there is a big difference in attendance...

So, Orangefield will have 2 broadcasts this week. The girls tomorrow night, the boys Friday night with your's truely doing the play-by-play. Gabe, have Bleed get the gumbo ready for me Friday night. I already have dibs on the gumbo Tuesday..... haha

Hey guys we are just kidding about the officials. The kids decide the game , we know that. We are just trying to make the girls board more active. The girls deserve the same recognition as the boys do. This is all in fun. "Home cooking" is a joke. Well maybe not. ;D ;D Kieth, I actually am expecting some "home cooking" when we come to OF.... I thought you were bringing gumbo??? haha

OldRef - I remember that game and it was one of the better called games we had all year.... I think the officiating this year has been consistant! That is all a coach can ask for..... then you can alter the game plan because you know exactly what you can and cannot do... Even the "lower ranked" officials seem to be doing a much better job this year.

A pressing team that is taught how to play defense vs. a team that does not know how to play correct defense.... hmmmm.... the pressing team should have fewer fouls.... By rule, a charge is a very hard call to get .... most (and I say most) high school players jump in front of the offensive player at the last second and give the offensive player no chance to change their course... therefore the call is correctly called on the defense.
