she's averaging about 20 points a game this year hasnt been a game this year she's scored under 15 and was last years offensive mvp I know Moore is averaging around 23-24 with close to 7 steals per game.... I would love to see a girl's top 25 ranking like on the Boys site.

UIL won't let us play 2 school night games a week.... It would have to be Wed. & Sat... I hae fought this battle for 9 years now and all I can say is that you have to pick your spots.... I know that if the cowboys, lamar, astros, etc. are playing that night it won't get covered.... there is only so much room or time.... (not that it is fair, but that is the way the media game is played.) Our news guys in beaumont do try...they are just stretched thin... (most of the anchors do their own camera work!) They cannot be everywhere at once. Watch a Houston newscast once in a while.... A top 10 state ranked school may get a boxscore in the chronicle or a mention of a score on the newscast... This website has done an amazing job of promoting all sports girls and boys... This is a big change from 4 years ago where this wasn't even an option. It is slowly changing, but traditional media has it's limits. (alot of stories to squeeze into a 5 minute slot.) People really have to stop blaming Earl for the TT lose. No. 1 - Didn't Gideon drop a gimme INT? No. 2 - If the kickoff return team doesn't allow TT to run the ball back so far maybe the defense could have held on a little more. No. 3 - If Earl does make the tackle, or also include the other DB who was covering Crabtree, or push Crabtree out of bounds, I think TT would have been able to kick the game winning field goal from about 20 yards out. Earl Thomas also dropped a gift wrapped interception that hit him in the chest a few minutes before Gideon. It wasn't like the one Gideon dropped but it should have been easily caught. If you look back at that game, Texas had the ball on the 7 yard line.... 2nd down with a minute and change left.....The snapped the ball with alot of time on the play clock.... they left too much time on the clock.... 1st and goal with a timeout left....they had plenty of time to run 4 plays.... I thought they should have milked the clock more... Congrats to Earl!!! That son of a gun probably could have played baseball there too..... tremendous kid and athlete!

An athlete is an athlete.... By athletic, do you mean physically gifted, but undisciplined? vs. physically inferior but well disciplined and fundamentally sound... Speed is speed... You can take a physically inferior player and train them to be "more athletic" but it is much easier to take a gifted athlete and teach him discipline... (ie: Newton football!) There are too many "what if's" I am sure the Buna teams of the 50's were extremely fundamentally sound but the 70's or 80's teams out of Lincoln that were athletic, but maybe undisciplined would wipe the floor with them....

Page Sirmons and kelli LeGrande were in double figures for HJ... Latrecia Moore had around 26... Taylor Sutherland had a great game... shots didn't fall, but she had rebounds, assists, steals, deflections etc... that really busted the game wide open.

Sorry bleed... i have to..... I said this WOS team was much improved.... and was told you needed a different dance....?? haha How many games is this now that the shots "just weren't falling"? Some times the other team plays well...

Refs are trying... they are short handed this year , but I think they are doing a pretty good job so far. At least they are calling consistant. Go to a game in deep east texas and you will love our officials!

Latrecia Moore from HJ has had alot of interest. They have several young ones who will also eventually play somewhere if they continue to progress.

I will vouch for bleed.... The good thing about girl's basketball in this area is the lack of trash talking.... most talking is done on the court.... thats the way it should be...

Silsbee went the last 4:45 with out a field goal. It was a 3 point game with a little under 5:00 to go. Kendra Wright did not play until half way through the 3rd quarter? Was she sick?

I understand that the team doesn't have much talent this year, but they should not act like a bunch of little dribblers before the game and coach shouldn't let them act that way. He is a good coach and a good man, but you have to have some control over your team. Don't you know? Coaches and teachers have "NO" control anymore because of the society we live in. True and sad.......... But the Boys varsity team represents really well for Silsbee........ It dont matter if the girls win or lose.... what matters is how the represent the school........ I sat by the concession stand with my daughter tonight at halftime and heard a group of girls say things that would offend Howard Stern. Who ever said earlier it is the parents is right on the money.... I would be arrested and CPS would be called on me if I ever heard that kinda junk come out of my daughters mouth. That is what happens when MTV, music and movies raise children instead of parents.

I don't have the exact score, but HJ won by 30+ @ WOS. The hawks shot the ball poorly in the 1st half, but ended pretty good. WOS is much improved from last year.
