I disagree.... if a situation arises where you can play people in different positions then get after it... normally these lop-sided games happen when one team is just WAY more aggressive than the other team... at least in a press they have a chance to score... backing them up to half court seems to lend itself to more points in that the defense steals the ball and then has a breakaway layup. I think it does a disservice to tell your team to let up on defense.... (bad habits, etc...) in a half court setting, ie. after a steal... run your offense.... 5-20 passes; ball has to touch a post first, etc.... There is a fine line between being classless and coaching your own team.... but.....there isn't anything in the rule book about being sensitive to the other teams feelings.

Technically, The official is part of play....the ball was live when it was given back to the shooter....... If the ref stopped play, it should have gone to the possession arrow. An assumption cannot be made about who would have gotten the rebound.

It is DECEMBER........ Oh, I forgot.... you get bonus points in the playoffs for proving things in games in early December...

Hopefully we can learn from this and not see a repeat of this situation in our own sons or relatives. HJ wins tournament with wins over Dayton, Lumberton, Hamshire Fannett and Memorial. Autumn Bernard of HJ was named Most outstanding player for the tournament. Great job Lady Hawks. HF beat Anahuac to get 3rd.

Champion - Cy-Woods Third HJ Consolation - Livingston Hj beat splendora in round 1 67-19 KJ lost to a very good team Cy Woods in the second round HJ beat Galena Park by 40+ for third. * Both of Hj's wins ended up being a running clock in the second half. Good job lady hawks!!!
