Lost to 5A kingwood Lost a close game to 5A Dobie Won against 5A Pasadena Memorial (hj was missing Moore in this game) Not the best showing, but all the kinks will be ironed out when district rolls around..... Next weekend they go to Pasadena for a tournament full of very good 5A teams. This schedule is tough... (for any classification...) and should prepare them for later in the season!

Not a big deal in the grand scheme of things... There is one poll at the end of the year that matters..... The Hawks will be just fine this year.

I hope who ever decides on these brackets does some homework this year. Last year, the two best teams (Waco Midway and Hardin Jefferson ) played each other in the 2nd round.... Some interesting matchups could happen in this tourney... Should be good games all the way around....

These are rankings..... based on OPINIONS...... The only poll that matters is the one put out at the end of the season... IBeing # 8 or 9 on a preseason poll is irrelevant.

The 5 turnovers that HJ had against Cleveland was a big part of that score..... Get ready for a war!!!!!

It wasn't a cheap shot... it was football...... don't mistake an unfortunate incident with someone taking a cheapshot. This stuff happens. Smith will have to step up and Leger will be ready for Cleveland.

If he can go, good..... If not the hawks will roll someone in there in his place...... He will be back for the playoffs for sure though...

I don't think it is due to his players.... Hooks (Thompson), Barbay, Stump.... all these guys have tremendous off season programs that make players! Look at what Stump did at Kelly in 2 years before coming to WB... He took teams that were 0-10 and 1-9 and instantly turned it around..... great motivator and got kids to buy into the "program"

I will post HJ's schedule on here soon.... I know they are playing a TOUGH non district schedule against mostly 4A and 5A teams... They should be battle tested once district and the playoffs come around.
