Congratulations to both young men on their accomplishments.  I would loved to have seen the relay team make it back this year. Maybe we could have placed in the top three in team totals with a strong  relay finish. Splendora Wildcat fans can be PROUD of both young men.

Cleveland won 71 to 57.  Great Effort by the Wildcats! Led most of the game. Game actually closer than score indicates

Any score on this one ?

Are Technical fouls on a player considered personal fouls and team fouls ?  Are technical fouls on a coach considered team fouls? I would like to see the officiating crews all agree on one answer. I have asked this of many different crews and cannot seem to get a clear answer.In one tournament game I received two different answers from officials working the game together. I was under the impression that all Techs were considered team fouls (toward the bonus) and all player techs were team fouls as well as personal fouls. Can we clear this up and have the local chapters inform their members of the correct ruling ?

I couldn't remember who it was on , but i knew it was'n't on the kid who threw the punch because our fans went nuts when the silsbee coach put him back in.

I believe the tech was on # 11 later in the game. I may be wrong on that but I know that they did not call a Tech at the time of the punch , It was an intentional foul called and yes he did come into the game after that .

They did not call the Tech on him at that time (and I do not believe it was him they called the tech on any way) They called an intentional foul on him but it was not a tech. And yes he did go back in after that foul !!!

No one mentioned the classless act by silsbee"s # 5 in the 3rd qtr. when he intentionally punched Splendora's #21 in the Groin, The officials decesion not to eject him and the coaches even more classless act by allowing him to go back into the game. Silsbee you may be a good team but the Wildcats totally OUT  CLASSED you in their loss to you tonight.  Great come back and outstanding CHARACTER on your part tonight Cats.

I do not remember the year (1st year they played overtime) Splendora beat Coldspring in a game that went seven overtime periods. Great game

Vela was the announcer at the Jr. high game on Thurs. night but did not announce the Varsity game. The Varsity announcer has a script that he follows based on the time. School songs at a certain time, Moment of silence at a certain time, and National Anthem at a certain time, all timed out so that the coin toss and kickoff can start as close to 7:30 as possible. Most coaches know this and have their team on the field. As far as the two mile hike from the dressing room, Splendora's dressing room was the same distance. Huffman Coaches knew the distance from the dressing room because they were on the field warming up before 6:00. I know the bus did not drop the team off at the gate.
