Here is the issue BHFan.... PN-G has gotten better each week and has the stats to back it up. Barbers Hill has not played with ANY consistency against quality opponents the entire year. Padding stats against non-contenders gets you nowhere. Turnovers have plagued them all year and that did not change right into week 10. I have a hard time seeing them come out and playing mistake free ball. PN-G has one of the best turnover margins in the entire state regardless of classification. The have the number one defense in 20-4A and a top ten defense state wide. The 20 points BH scored in week 0 or the most this team has yielded. BH better bring their A+ game and hope the NDNS help them out some if the BH fans plan on going home happy. They have not shown the ability to do that all year.
Parts of your post are very true :) Turnovers have plagued us all year, but to think they are not capable of a good game? I wouldn't put my paycheck on it. The good ole saying of "On Any Given Friday" was put together for a reason and that reason is that teams win that are not statistically supposed too. Now with that in mind the Eagles had more turnovers against any team that they played the whole season and didn't take them to over time because of a field goal (PAT). Padding our stats you could say the same for PNG as I don't think either team has played a state contender. Both teams have played well PNG has the better record because they hang on to the ball. My logic is this if BH has scored the most points against PNG all season with 7 turnovers how much could they score with 0? Will we get to see? Who knows, but I'm not ready to give PNG a first round bye because they beat 20-4A teams ;D Central will be the best team that PNG has faced since BH in week 1 IMHO.
Best we played since week one against BH? Last time I checked, Lumberton beat BH. So with all of the "logic" on this board, Lumberton is a better team than BH. PNG beat Lumberton 39-6. So BH is not the best team that we have played thus far. Also, Crosby beat BH. PNG beat them 37-7. Again, I don't think BH is the best team we have played thus far this season. Vidor was within 1 point of tying Central. PNG beat Vidor 35-13. Again, I don't think BH is the best team we have played thus far this season. PNG might have beat BH by only 1 point in week zero of the season, but this game will be a lot different. I look for PNG to play a complete game this time around. Go look at all of the posts from others around the district after PNG gets done playing their team. I think the Ozen poster summed it up pretty well. He stated that PNG is a well-oiled machine. They are the real deal. They have size on both sides of the ball and they are very balanced. -
There is no pleasing that guy. so I wouldn't pay him any attention.
Please enlighten us on how this will happen..
It could happen under one scenario, that is the Vidor loss, Nederland loss and Ozen win. That would create a 5 way tie and because all teams would have a 2-2 record against each other, going to a points differential in the games. If Lumberton and Livingston win be enough, they could go and Vidor and Nederland would stay home. This would push PN-G into Division I, thereby eliminating the matchup with Barbers Hill.
Seems a bit far-fetched but entirely possible. -

While the Indians are over there working hard, we are here jacking around and getting ready for basketball. Please sir, forgive us, for we know not what we do.
Im sorry I thought this was a public forum. I know that in your area Port Neches Groves and West Orange Stark Fans run things and maybe I should start checking with them before I comment in a thread.
Don't worry Soulja, in 2 weeks he won't even be on this board as both the NDN's and Jags will ge preparing for the 2nd round of the playoffs. I can guarantee one thing, Soulja and the Jags aren't underestimating the ability of the NDN defense like so many of you Blow Hard fans from BH are doing.
We had a bad game. It was against BH. But we still got the W. -

PN-G had to call off the dogs in the second half. So much for the 19-4A faithful. All your dreams will be flushed away like an Old River meth stash come the 14th.
Yeah you're right. But Crosby made some major adjustments since that game. You're underestimating the quality of talent from 19-4A. I will say this, that 20-4A talent level across the board may be better, but I wouldn't overlook Crosby, Dayton and BH. If you do, you may be looking at the back side of the play-offs.
i agree. it doesnt matter how great they played against crosby. PNG you arent playing them you are playing BH. you might have beat us week 0 but that was there QBs first game ever at that position. he was a top DB last year. he has improved and is ready to run all over your slow defense. after he gets outside PNG line he is gone. dont underestimate 19-4a they are weak but just as weak as 20-4a
Wow, no fooling these guys. They know our weakness. Our defense is slow. I mean, I guess we can't hide it that well. Look at all those points that faster offenses put up on us. Look at the 7 points Livingston put up. Look up the 20 points Ozen put up. Wait, those 20 points were scored on the reserves. Man, those faster schools have us completely out-matched. I guess we shouldn't even show up. Our inferiority will clearly shine through against the unstoppable buzz-saw of the Blow-Hard eagles. -
Last years brawl is water under the bridge. Both teams have new coaches that have shown much more class than to allow that to happen again. PNG has made less mistakes each game. You can bet that Faircloth will have the boys ready. Gonna be a good game.
Well of course I'm going to take PNG in this game, but I will not venture to guess what the score will be. PNG has looked solid all year, and we have a stingy defense. But from what I hear, Central can be very explosive when they get the ball to the right people. And you are right, I don't see another brawl taking place in this game. Both teams are on a mission and don't want to jeopardize anything.

Faircloth and co's. refusal to run a score up on anyone, shows a lot of class. However, things could have gotten bad for the last four teams that the Indians have faced. IMO of the Ozen game last night, PNG was up 35-0 with around 3 minutes to play in the 3rd quarter. Ozen could not stop anything that the Indians were doing on offense at that point, nor could they move the ball against the Indians D. My point is, that could have very easily been a 56-0 or 63-0 game. Central will have their hands, arms, and legs full next week.
Maybe I just don't understand PNG math (like a lot of magical PNG stuff), but if your beloved indians were scoring at the clip of approximately 12 points per quarter through 3 quarters against Ozen, what makes you say they would have hung an additional 21 or 28 on Ozen in the 4th quarter. Since they are already the "hardest working team" in the world, we know they were trying as hard as they could through 3 quarters. Hmmmm..................
Pretty simple answer to this really. Ozen was completely worn out. PNG put up 21 on them in the 3rd quarter. 2 or 3 more touchdowns would not be out of the realm of possibilities.
Thanks for the explanation. Only in the logic used by PNG and its fans does "could have very easily been" equate to "would not be out of the realm of possibilities." For the first time, I now understand the basis for all your predictions and statements about PNG -- if its not out of the realm of possibilites, than it could "very easily" happen so why not predict that it will happen.
Mr. All-knowing FriendswoodFan, What kind of logic would you like us naive PNG fans to use? After all, we know nothing about football. I mean, it would be unreasonable for one to deduce that because PNG scored 21 points in the third quarter against a completely worn down Ozen defense that PNG would have scored more in the 4th quarter if the starters were left in. Wait a minute, I see where the logic is flawed. Its flawed in the fact that you, sir, might think that us PNG fans see through purple-colored glasses. You can't stand the fact that a person is entitled to their beliefs. You can't stand the fact that PNG is having success. You want to come onto this site and marginalize everything that someone says. So yes, I see where the logic is flawed. Its flawed by you.

Anywho the experts seem to think this game will come down to the wire [Hidden Content]
Where did those expert polls get you last game when you were suppose to put up 46? Hmmm, they only missed it by 40. I wouldn't put too much credence in those polls. Those same polls had PNG losing to Crosby among others. Seems to me they are a bit off.

PNG beat your district champs by 30. We'll see who is "ONE AND DONE." BH better be getting ready for basketball. -
Faircloth = class act. He seemed to get all of the seniors in the game for the entire 4th quarter. They've put in all the hard work for 4 years, and they get to play on the Reservation in their final home game.
