Lamar beat two top 25 teams this week. Not bad, not bad at all!!!

Monday Lamar beat #23 Arizona 13-5. Maybe Lamar will make a stand against a top rank team in lsu.

If you wanted to see pitching and good defense this was the game. Memorial was able to get a few hits late in the game to retake the lead and win. Silsbee needs to get their bats working!

Who is scrimmaging who and tell us the results!!!

My understanding is a student athlete can play one game a school week night, Friday night is not a school night. In tournament play ( Thursday thru Saturday) the maximum games per day is three and six games per tournament. You can play 0 tourney and 23 games or 1 tourney and 20 or 2 tourney and 17 games or 3 tourney and 14 games before playoffs start.

Silsbee JV scored 9 runs, Memorial JV scored 0. Left during the second inning of varsity, Silsbee scored 1 and Memorial 0

Jasper has a really nice sports complex at their high school. It's about time! Very nice football field, baseball field, softball field. Now they need stands on the football field to accommodate the nice sports complex they have built. JMO anything under 8,000 set stadium would not do this place justice.

Silsbee looked good it's first day of practice Friday and inter squad scrimmage Saturday. I liked what is saw knowing it's just the first two days of practice. The junior and sophomore class are definitely the driving force to this team. A small senior class that will compete and a couple of freshman that will push for time on the field. One parent told me "their not a well oiled machine but it looks like they have oil on them". I hope the oil keeps flowing. Go Tigers!!!

At 3:30 today there will be baseball flying all over Texas!!!
