3. Yes and Yes. These two teams will get an early look at each other as next year they will be district foes. They should know each other pretty good when district starts next year.
 4. Monday night is opening night for baseball in SETX and the Silsbee Tigers will travel to Buna to take on the Cougars for the fifth year in a row. Silsbee has a 3-1 record over that time as the Cougars won the first game then Silsbee has reeled off three wins in a row, claming a 7-0 shut out over the Cougars last year. The JV game will start at 4:30 and Varstiy starting at 7:00. I will be there (work permitting) to blog the game after each half inning. Come on out and cheer these players on as they open up a new baseball season in SETX.
 5. My inlaws went to this game and some PG fans sat behind them. My lnlaws said they talked about how good they were and that they have only one lose and the size advantage they have on such a small team and yada, yada, yada. Then just before tip off one of them tapped my father-in-law on the shoulder and said "we didn't drive all this way for nothing, so get ready" my father-in-law said "OK". In the second period they didn't talk as much, and when the third period got going they didn't say nothing. After the game they just got up and left the building, with out saying a word. Kinda rude don't you think, just getting up and leaving like that not even a good luck or nothing. Go Tigers!!!
 6. Way to go Silsbee. Puttin a 24 point whoopin on 3A #15 Pleasant Grove. Good win. Go Tigers!!!
 7. Just looked at the radar. Big storm cloud to the north of Houston heading Northeast. Hoping it will miss the SETXsports area.

I think they should be abouton the same level as silsbee.
Not Quite....Who does HF have returning that's any good ?
Easy there big fella!! May be a little better received if you were to ask that question a little different. Something along the lines of "how many starters do they return?" or something similar. HF always has guys that can swing it. They will face the same questions and problems that most teams will and that starts with pitching. Those guys play hard and that "amusement park" they play in always makes games interesting! One of the wildest places to watch a game no doubt. Hit one off the fists to right and it may get out. Hit one on the screws to that CANYON in center and hang on! May not get over the fence but it could be a foot race for an inside the park HR. These guys will definitely be in the mix one way or another. Rake1
With these new BBCOR bats they just took the amuse out of your "amusement park". NOW, one hit off the fists to right and it will get caught. Hit one on the screws to that CANYON in center and hang on it will get caught, no foot race for an inside the park HR. If HF can get their pitching, they will make a good push for the playoffs. Behind BC and Silsbee. But that's preseason talk.
After silsbee? From what I've heard silsbee is just a bunch of hype
Oh, that's right. It's a secret, all hype. shhhhhh

 10. Silsbee and Lumberton got after it tonight. Wet, foggy, and cold. I left in the middle of the fourth inning and Silsbee scored 18 something runs and Lumberton scored 0. It's safe to say Lumberton is in a rebuilding year, they have alot to work on.
 11. OK, here we go again. Looks like rain Monday and Wednesday. Silsbee 2/14 @ Home v Lumberton, 2/17 @ Home v Kirbyville

 13. Silsbee and Liberty scrimmage canceled tonight. Tomorrow @ 4 in Liberty
 14. Just looking at the radar and it looks like the rain maybe around for a couple more hours. I know its not a heavy rain, but its coming down. Will there be very many scrimmages played tonight? Who's playing and who's canceling?
 15. Congrats to both teams, Yall brought hame two more championship banners that will be hung in the gym. Good job. A big shout out to that 7th grade A team: Michael McCain, Noah Whitted, Trevor Jones, Zachary Scoggins, Elton Jones, Chase Partain, Nicholas Jeselink, Kolton Mackey, Trajan Harris, Bruce Newton. These boys had a great year going 10-0 in district and 12-1 over all, losing in the championship game to Odom in the Vencent Tournament. Also, a congrat to the coaches Hatton (7th grade) and Porter (HC 8th grade) for there hard work. Rotating players in and out so every player can get the max playing time and max rest.  No player was just left on the bench. Again congrats on a great season. Go Tigers!!!
 16. And no Newton. Just wont be the same not playing them two teams.
 17.
I sat next to the Ozen Coaches/scouts that were watching Nederland.  Let's just say that the things that I saw that we did good as far as beating Nederland, they saw way more than I saw and they will be ready.  Now the Scouts had a game plan.  Now if the coach will actually follow through is another thing.
It took two years to find a way to beat Nederland?
 18.
How many scrimmage's will be played with all this rain coming: Silsbee; 1/6 @ Woodville, 1/10 @ Liberty
Silbee and Woodville scrimmage has been changed to Tuesday.
 19.

The Silsbee/Jasper game is one of those games that you have to get on schedule. This is one of those games that if not played the season will not be complete. This game will be greatly missed not only by this two towns but all over SETX. Here are the first four week of both schools schedules:               Silsbee              Jasper Week 0    PNG (4A)          Liberty (3A) Week 1    LCM (4A)          Orangefield (3A) Week 2    Lumberton (4A)  Kirbyville (2A) Week 3    Livingston (4A)  WOS (3A) Silsbee did not want to take another Houston team or Cleveland team so the first two weeks had been set before the relignment. Now I wouldn't mind if we drop Livingston and add Jasper, but Jasper would have to drop WOS. Don't think that's gonna happen. I can tell ya'll this the longer it is after the relignment the less likely and harder it will be to get these two team on schedule. Go Tigers!!!
move wos to week 1 drop liberty and there you go....
Man, that sounds good to me.
 20.
WOS by 4! 76 72! Silsbee coming off a big loss and should be pretty fired up but the atmosphere at WOS is ridiculous.
Been there done that. Silsbee has played in two Hardin County Havoc games and already played a game with WOS, plus a game with Navasota. The atmosphere will not bother Silsbee, now if they are down after the lose earler in the week that mite be a problem. Go Tigers!!!
Yep, keep these *district* notes because thats about all the history from here on out ;D
I don't see anything changing in 21-3A, Buna is the only team coming in. Silsbee and HJ will still be on top of this district, in basketball.
