They do. Silsbee will play Bmt. Kelly Thursday in the Orangefield tourney, Tyler All Saints Friday (OF tourn.) and Lumberton Saturday (OF tourn.) Silsbee will play Carthage Monday in Jasper followed by Lumberton the next day in Silsbee.
And then Silsbee gets a one day break and heads out to the Jasper Tourney. Livingston Thurs, Huntsville Fri, then Vidor and Jasper Sat in a double hitter. Thats nine games in ten days, them arms will be wore out. Go Tigers!!!
 2. Congrats Tigers. Tighten up that infield, to many errors in a tight game and the wins will be harder. Keep on keeping on. Go Tigers!!!
 3. Went by awhile back and the score was 1-0 Silsbee. If I read it right.

Silsbee 14 Kountze 5 Silsbee   108 203  14 13 2 Kountze  140 000   5  5  5 Colby Jenkins started this game for Silsbee pitching two innings giving up four hits, and five runs with two Ks and three BBs. One hit was a three run bomb that rattled the score board hit by Colby. Jenkins redeemed himself the next inning by hitting a two run shot and going 2-4. Clint Scoggins for Silsbee came in the third and held Kountze scoreless the next three inning giving up one hit, with nine Ks and three BBs. Michael Simmons for Silsbee pitch the last inning giving up no hits with one K and one BB. Silsbee started pounding the ball in the third inning including another homerun hit by Gore (Fr) this being a two run shot. Lance Brown led the Tigers attack at the plate hitting 3-4 with four RBIs. Kountze pitchers started strong in the first two innings giving up one run striking out three batters. I'll have complete stats coming up. Next up for the Tigers is the championship game against Hardin, tomorrow @ 2:00pm. Go Tigers!!!

 9. Why just the last several years? I know of a 84-85 team that went to Regional Finals, that team only lost 2 games all year. If I remember correctly.
 10.
Wow?? 103 pitches in the first game of the season? With that lead?? And staring at a tournament this weekend? Leaves one shaking their head in disbelief. Of course this is only a by standers view, coaches and players know their situations far better than those of us in the stands. Awfully easy to sit back and second guess. I'm sure there is a plan. Still makes you wonder. Either way that's an impressive performance.
Nah! No worries. We have enough pitchers he mite not even pitch this weekend. And yes we were shaking our heads in disbelief, at the pitching performance we saw. Hopeing to see many more.
 11.
Do you think it was necessary to throw a guy that is capable of striking out 16 hitters a complete game on opening day?  Especially with a 7 run lead?  Was no one else capable of holding that lead and relieving him in after four of five?  16 k's equals high pitch count too. He had to be well over a hundred after seven complete.
You be the judge. After six innings he had 14 K in 88 pitches. He ended up pitching 103. Just how far over hundred do you call "well over a hundred". The 15 pitches in the last inning was just about his average per inning.
 12.
Cant get the big head early, gotta get ready for the mighty Chester Yellowjackets from 1A who only struck out 16 times against Kountze.  Should be a battle
Your right. Stay focus and play hard.
 13. We had several errors tonight. We need to clean them up or it wont matter how good our pitching is.
 14.
The Silsbee Tigers will host the Buna Cougars Monday as this is the season opener for both teams. The Buna Cougars are trying for there fifth district championship. The Silsbee Tigers are trying in a new coach and welcoming back two players that are coming back from Tommy John surgery. This is looking like a great season opener. Go Tigers!!!
Silsbee wins 7-0 over Buna. Lance Brown threw a complete game for the win, had 16 Ks, 0 BB, 1 Hit. Caleb Henry went 2-3 with 2 doubles and was hit by pitcher.

 16.
Friday Feb. 18 Silsbee @ Kirbyville
Through six innings Silsbee    130 109  14 9 4 Kirbyville  100 000    1 2 11 Silsbee's pitchers gave up 2 hits had 10 Ks, 0 BB, 0 ER, as Silsbee pitched five in six innings. Silsbee's batters where aggresive at the plate pounding out three doubles, and just missing on a HR. Silsbee's defense needs to clean up. Errors will kill you. Silsbee had three errors in the first that lead to a run. After that Silsbee's pitchers took over the game. Kirbyville pitchers gave up 9 hits had 10 Ks and 5 BBs, 6 ER, as Kirbyville pitched three in six innings. Kirbyville's defense looked good. The sixth inning is where the wheels fell off for Kirbyville as Silsbee sent fifteen batters to the plate. I don't know what happen after the sixth inning.
 17.

Silsbee will bring two top notch pitchers this year that will team up with Lance Brown and Justin Flowers to make a very competive pitching staff. Clint Scoggins and Colby Jenkins are back from Tommy John surgery after missing last year. Both of these boys are hitting 90 and have some good second and third pitches to go along with the heat. These two have been rehabing the past year and are really excited to get on the mound for Silsbee this year. Its has been a painful and exhusting come back for these two. Time will tell the hole truth, but watching these two rehab this summer and fall they look good. Ether of these two can be the starter. Can't wait for some Tiger Baseball.
I watched a silsbee scrimmage about a week ago and they do have some pretty good pitching. But I didn't see a soul throwing 90. Not saying they don't throw that, but I didn't see it.... But they do have a pretty good pitching staff and I think they have a great shot at making the playoffs. Good luck
Your right. In 38 degrees against Woodville they didn't look like they got up there. I know against Liberty they where hitting 85-89 in warmups and it was colder. All we need is to play defense. We cant have any errors and let batters on base. Get these pitchers hitting there spots and play error free, good things will happen for Tiger baseball.
 18. Last I hurd Silsbee and Lumberton tied at 5 in the 6th.
 19.
How is the Scoggins kid doing at Silsbee? Didn't he have some kind of surgery?
He had Tommy John surgery and is doing good. Actually, he threw to three batters and struck them out on eleven pitches. In the first scrimmage he threw to nine batters and threw 68% strikes giving up one hit and hit a batter. He's rehab is over and he is excited to be back on the mound and back with his Tiger team mates. Here is hoping and looking forward to a great year.
 20. The Silsbee Freshman/JV team held the Orangefield team to 6 second half points. DAANNNNNNNGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!
