  1. I'm thinking Phill Green was the QB in 82 and Jerry Stout may have played there a little. In 86 two players played QB I don't remember there names. That's a long time ago to bring back memories.
  2. OK here is the Sr league schedule: Warren @ HJ 7pm Mauriceville @ Silsbee White 2pm Vidor @ Silsbee Maroon 4pm HF @ Deweyville 7pm EC Bye Week
  3. Every one will come to see the JJ show. But I'll tell you he has the receivers and the running backs that will be in the lime light also. He will have plenty of help and all that weight will not be on his shoulders. If there is any pressure on JJ it does not come from the Silsbee fans, it come from out side. Go Tigers!!!
  4. Silsbee has defeated both Lumberton and Vidor also. They have not bea.... I mean played Bridge City yet. :o ;D ;D :D :
  5. Tell us how you think the teams did in the Jamboree.
  6. Hey Mark no problem. I to am there every practice and I know how those kids are trained also and what is a scrimmage meant for, to work things out.
  7. The offensive line for Silsbee needed this. A young line that is coming together. Another scrimmage and a few games and the line will be fine. Oh and speveto on Oct. 9 Silsbee will be the place to be. Go Tigers!!!
  8. I just hope Silsbee wins this game after losing to them in the last few minutes last year. I'll have my eye on our offensive line and see how they are coming together. Everything else should be OK. Go Tigers!!!
  9. From my understanding that both the East Texas and West Texas champs go to the next round. If they play each other it will be there. I think it's been that way since after 2002.
  10. Any new on Silsbee. Hopefully they made it to the finals.
  11. Got any news on the Silsbee girls up there? I believe there in the Jr league.
  12. Those Sat games will be competing against Lamar next year. And I would have figured at least 12K setting. It does look like it will be nice.
  13. Tonight (Saturday) Lumberton beat Silsbee for the right to play in the championship game with West End. Silsbee won third place. Lumberton enters the championship game with one lose and West End with none. Good luck to both teams.
  14. Tonight (Friday night) Lumberton and West End played to see who goes to the championship game. West End won giving Lumberton one lose. Also, Silsbee and Amelia played in a elemnation game with Silsbee winning. Now Lumberton travels to Silsbee for a semifinal game Saturday night. Winner moves on while the loser goes home. West End waits on the winner in the championship game.
  15. Silsbee lost to Jasper. Had a 4-1 lead and lost 6-4. I heard that Jasper had to forfit the game with West End Tuesday b/c of an illegal pitcher. Any body know if this is true.
  16. West End won Silsbee and Spindletop square off tonight @ Spindletop
  17. I know Jasper has an 8 yr old team playing in Lumberton at the LL tourny.
  18. No, this is all the teams that put together a 9 yr old team. I know Buna, Kirbyville and Jasper did not field a team. Can't remember the others. Now, if you look close the way the bracket is set the top part could be the North and the bottom part could be the South.
  19. Here is the Schedule: Lumberton @ Silsbee 6/8 Kountze has a bye and will host the winner 6/9 Amelia @ Spindletop 6/8 West End has a bye and will host the winner 6/9 This is double elimination and each game begins @ 7:30
  20. I know of one error he had. Can any of you guess? It was definitely a 4-6-3 double play, not E4-4-6-3. Did the ball not land in his glove and then fall to the ground. Was he not moving. So easy of a catch a T-baller could have made it. No matter what the intention, it is an E. You are correct on three out of those four sentences. The thing is he still got two outs in stead of having two men on. It appeared that the Silsbee second basemen took notes on how to drop pop ups...if you want to play that game. OK so he took a couple of steps. No game being played here. Now, if you can keep up we are talking about errors on a certain second baseman. Not how many outs was made, nor are we talking about anyother second baseman. Just this one. Now let me get you up to speed. It was said that he had no errors, which is false. If he wanted an error free game he would have caught the ball, he did not he dropped the ball which is an error and in doing so two outs were made. So, try to stay on task about this certain second baseman and try not to drag other players in to make you fill better. It doesn't go into the books as an error, so therefore it is not an error. Learn the game before you speak =]. OK, is it because he recovered the dropped ball and made an out? I'm thinking that might be the only way an error would not be recorded.
