Right you are. A coach can help get players over a let down but add in a Homecoming week and the players will have to focus more. I wont give a score so I'm going with Silsbee, I know it's a homer pick. Go Tigers.

One thing that I have notice, before the WOS game, in the past three games is how good the defenses have been that we have played aganist. Lumberton, Newton, and Jasper. These teams have helped us out tremendously, for WOS. We went up and down the field on the chain gang defense all night long. Our defense has played good all year, except for the first half at Diboll, and really good the last three games. After the second half with Jasper I bet we have not given up 100 yards of offense. I have always believed we had a good team, just for some reason or a nother we could not close the deal on a win. Until WOS. Now we need to take the advantage that we have and grow with it as a team. We still have four games left and a lot of football to be played. Go Tigers!!!

There will be a lot of distractions this week as this is Silsbee's Homecoming week. Follow that up with a hard fought and emotional win over WOS last week and a let down could happen. BC could snick up on Silsbee, but I doubt it. Silsbee wins this game. Go Tigers!!!

Kerry, it's comments like that which make you look like a complete idiot. I am really believing that to be the case for real now. Are you going to force me to comment on Silsbee's misfortunes tonight? Tigers should have won this game 21-0 at the least. Mud game anyone wins, ask North Shore. Improvement?

OK folks lets get this straight, Silsbee DOMINATIDED tonight. On defense and offense. WOS came out in the spread and couldn't move the ball and then went under center with very little success. The Tiger defense was just wild tonight. Silsbee offense had success with the pass early and WOS made there defensive adjustment and Silsbee went to there run game and WOS just could not keep up. It is probably a good thing it was a wet and muddy field, because if it were dry Silsbee would have blown them out. You could tell the players from Silsbee wanted the game more than the players from WOS.

Unless the WOS girls go to the WOS football game I predict a Silsbee DOMINOTION!

Better watch out them Hawk Hecklers fit in this category, they are as about as loud a bunch as I've heard.

This is getting to be an old hat here in Tigerland. I'm hoping that we are saving it all for district. Barnes has to get his touches, this guy is a chain mover and we need him to get the ball. I know the offensive line is young but this is the middle of the season and time to get it going. This team has the look of something good but we have got to move the ball on the ground.

Another OMG game played in this old storied rivalry in Texas and the oldest in Southeast Texas. Dang Jasper had to win it. Go Tigers!!!

Come out of there funk? WOS has played some good teams and these past two are really good. So WOS did not win by three TD or so. They won one and lost one. Heck WOS is who we all thought they are. Still the team to beat.

It all depends on how Silsbee prepared these last two weeks as to what kind of game well see. Did Silsbee prepare for Jasper or for WOS? Last year Silsbee played a very conserved game to a inferior Jasper team and lost 14-0. Jasper is far and beyond better this year and if that happens it will be a very long night for Silsbee. The last two teams Silsbee has played against had very good defenses and that will continue tonight. Silsbee will have to open it up more on offense to get the win. Jasper's offense has been playing well all year. Jasper's defense is packing a punch this year that has been missing the last few years, and the Bulldogs fan love it. Silsbees defense will face a stiff challenge trying to go against a big Jasper offensive line and speed that can score from any where on the field. I have read on here, in the history section, that this series goes back to 1921, making it the longest series in Southeast Texas and one of the longest in the State of Texas. The series has had play stopped twice, once in the late '20 and early '30 for fighting.(over school colors is what I heard back a long time ago. I can't remember where so not 100% reliable.) Then play was stopped during WW II. These two teams played two times a year for several years early on and in the '50 started playing each other just once a year. These two teams respect each other very much, but at the same time have a uncanny dislike for each other. After the games these teams shake hands on the field and then go there separate ways to there communites, they do not have a neighborly love for each other as some other series in Southeast Texas have. I am pulling for Silsbee here and being a homer will say Silsbee will win. I will not predict a score just a hard fought knock down drag out of a game. Go Tigers!!!
