Since the UIL started letting two and three teams into the playoffs.

That's what I wear to a broadcast anyway, that wouldn't be nothing new for me. ;D Believe you me it's hard to keep up with his broadcasting fashion.

The Silsbee Tigers will go on the road and take on the Bridge City Cardinals in a big early key match up in district play. The more games you win early in district the less you have to worry about winning late in district to make the playoffs. Go Tigers!!!

Silsbee Maroon 12 Silsbee White 6 This was a knock down drag out of a game with both team leaving every thing on the field. The Maroon team just a little bit better as they int there third ball of the game as time ran out on about the 15 yard line. The only difference in the game was the White team with four turnovers (1 fumble, 3 int) and the Maroon team with one turnover (1 fumble) that went out of the end zone. Was just a fantastic game. Good luck to both teams the rest of the year. Go Tigers!!!

Didn't the UIL ban all horns at high school football games and the repercussion would be a penalty.

I knew Newton would be a little down after there big emotional upset win over Silsbee last week, but it didn't take Newton long to turn the afterburners on and just fly away. Congrats to Newton.

Silsbee Maroon 38 HJ 7

A great kick, a 47 yrd try the ball hit half way up on the goal post and when it came down it just missed the cross bar by a few inches. This was a good game for both teams. It wasn't a 40 point blow out like most people predicted. Go Tigers!!!

yea newton will pull away. Silsbee would be a better team if they had more players. Cause Jeremy Johnson cant do it by hisself where were they against Di boll and Lumberton : : They have playmakers all over the field If you were not at those games, then you do not need to respond Penalties and turnovers aginst Diboll Lumberton played great defense This is true. If you can't hang on to the ball (eight turnovers the past two games) or play with more discipline (penalties have called back four td and hampered numberous drives in the red zone the past two games) it's hard to win a game, even if you have a ton of talent, when you play the caliper of teams that Silsbee is playing.

The thing here is that after two games some teams came back to play there bracket games so they could advance in the tourney. For some reason they left that part of the bracket out and would not take the time to correct the bracket so the teams could play to advance in this tourney. If this does not happen, I can grantee you the placement of this tourney would not be what it ended with.

I remember that game, and what a game it was. Silsbee won by a couple of points or so. I'm thinking time just ran out with Newton having the ball. I expect the same kind of game this year. Hoping Silsbee will be on top. Go Tigers!!!

Another hard game for Silsbee this week. Something we need. I don't think Newton will bring anything more on defense than what Lumberton had, thing is Newton will not bring anything less eather. We would like to win a game but more importantly we need to get game experience for our young O-line, running the ball and get better timing down with our QB and receivers. Newton always put pressure on the defense and it will be the same this year. Silsbee needs there offense and defense to start coming together in a game to start winning. Playing these types of teams that test your limit will make you a better team. Go Tigers!!!

How do you go to the biggest Volleyball tourney in this part of Texas and only play two (2) games? Several teams had this happen to them in this tourney. How can this happen? How can they not take the time to fix this mistake? It seems to me that if you short teams games in a bracket tourney then is the bracket complete and if not how can you have a championship team or any teams to place. With all these teams in this tourney NO ONE should have just played two games and go home, especially if you win a game. It looks like an incomplete tourney. If I'm wrong, explain why.

OK OK Dville beat Silsbee Maroon. DANG!!!

Why? Unfortunately, Lumberton won because we took advantage of mistakes by Silsbee. Silsbee nearly handed our butts to us. Our defense was not stopping them and our offense was continually shut down by their defense. Silsbee has only themselves to be mad at. Very true statement. Four turnovers and two times inside the ten that resulted in no points. Silsbee moved the ball all night but our mistakes killed us for the second week in a row. Lumberton has a defense that flies to the ball fast, a lot of speed. Silsbee had one miss read in the secondary in the second half and it resulted in a TD, other than that Silsbee's defense played light out. Good luck Lumberton. Go Tigers!!!
